sorry, was just trying another miner. Shut it off. How do i attach a picture?
I think my miner was running 250-ish before my test with the other miner.

What miner do you use to get 250-ish?

We have to be aware that the moment-to-moment individual hashrate reported by the pool is inaccurate. There will be times when it shows too much and times when it shows too little. Anyone mining very close to the limit of 250 Kh/s (which is clearly displayed as a rule on the pool Home page) is going to fall foul of this "feature" of the pool statistics. I am only throwing 110 Kh/s at it but at one time this morning the pool reckoned I was throwing 135 Kh/s at it.  I have observed other miners exceeding the limit momentarily too BTW but the very next minute they are well under it. I can be fairly sure in fact that their actual miner output was constant over the time.

The pool statistics shown are not the only source of error either. I have observed differences in the hashrate reported by the minerd when used on different pools, so the hashrate figures you get from the minerd when working on a pool are useless for benchmarking and comparison purposes. You will get a higher or lower average hashrate on one pool than on another. I have known about these differences from the very early days when we only had Noncepool and Suprnova to support us.

I would remind miners that the other five pools are still open and if you have hashrate to spare, then please direct it at the smaller pools in need of support. These would be XMGpool and Maxminers right this minute.

If there is anybody not convinced about the need to limit hashrates, please have a look at some quick figures I posted here.

Thanks Spexx for giving this good information

magic, I am sorry if it seems that I'm a litlle harsh, but since the start of PoM we deal with those king of rule breaking almost every day.

It's getting really annoying for someone to make all others fools, because they READ and OBEY the written rules.

I'm will be really sorry if this kind of attitude makes this awesome campaign go to waste...
After all the main idea behind Magi's PoW is to mine smart, no to mine hard...

as far as i can understand the 250 is just a number and that depends on how many users that are mining. I didnt realize that there was som kind of Magi police that attacks everyone that doesnt follow these unofficial rules.

The rules are OFFICIAL
# You muse mine with your CPU and total hashrate not exceeding 250 kh/s.

It is written in the first page of this thread! And it's still not clear for you...

Quote
It all depends on the total hashrate for the network so one must use that and since it is at 45000 we should loose about 5000 in total to get the mining to a maximum. If there are 45000 users mining we should all just use 1khs per person right?

And it was decided from the weeks before PoM start, what will be the max hashrate, based on the block reward, energy consumption and the campaign goals.
If you don't like that number, you could say so in the thread if you were participating...

If you still dont like to be limited by rules which we follow, feel free to move to another pool, so simple...

My dashboard says 174 reight now but it was 230 a minute ago.
I am almost constantly on the PoM pool for 5 hours and you don't have 230kh low for that time.
Who are you fooling?

Post your "Average Hashrate past 24h" graph if you are sure that you are obeying the rules.

Another lame excuse?

There is http://poolinfo.coinmagi.org/ with 5 pools that doesn't limit their hashrate.
But you chose to test your another miner at PoM pool?

And by the way - you are still above the target hashrate!
Or for you 250kh means 290kh?

Ah good man, how much you sitting on? if you don't mind me asking Tongue

I don't mind you asking Wink

Change of perspective, what would be in your opinion a good amount to sit on? (The bigger the better is not a valid answer)
10.000?
100.000?

I'd not mind to be on the 10.000 level, alas I'm actually 10 times less.

PS: I was taking a look at the PoM pool, I guess someone still have problems with the 250 kH/s thing...
Edited the name cause I don't like witch-hunts

Yes, that was me Smiley But as stated already, that is fluctuation.
Look at the left column with the number of submitted shares. I barely submitted more shares than the no.2 in the list and he is rated at 210 Khash.

...Or is it?

Please stop playing stupid!

Hashrate fluctuation, Overclock, The air temperature, The wheather...
Just excuses, when we all see that some people like you and shoggot
simply doesn't obey the rules, overhash and playing everyone for stupid...

I agree. It's getting so anoying.

Can you two guys show us yours graph of last 24 hours?!

I am sorry for a mistake here; the bitcointalk user membership would be Member. Addition to the membership, you can contact us. The rule made is to avoid multiple registration from the same person. We do need solid hashrate, but we also need our funds being distributed into more hands."

Ok great so I need either 22 more Activity points or contact you.

Yes thats right and don't forget the Google form.
