Mining is working.
Maybe you should add the following to your 66.conf
rpcuser=
rpcpassword=
rpcport=<
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
server=1
Make sure you are on the right chain otherwise you would be wasting you hashrate.
Follow these instructions if you have problems syncing.
Step 1: Download and/or compile wallet.

Step 2: Download bootstrap.

Step 3: Run the wallet once and then close it. This will create the 66 folder on your computer.
Step 4: Navigate to the 66 folder. To do this you need to make sure that you can see hidden files and folders.
If your on linux the folder would be /home/username/.66 (Mind the dot . before 66)
On windows it would be C:\Users\
Step 5: Unrar the content of the bootstrap file you downloaded in step 2 to the 66 folder
Step 6: Open a text editor like notepad and add the following
rpcuser=
rpcpassword=
rpcport=1666
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
server=1
addnode=seed.66coins.com: 36666
addnode=flowpool.ddns.net: 36691
Step 7: Safe this file as 66.conf in the 66 folder.
Step 8: Start the wallet and let it sync.
Step 9: When the wallet is synced you can start mining

The steps are the following
1. Make a backup of your 66 folder including wallet.dat and 66.conf on either windows or linux.
2. Create a new folder 66, then download the 66coin-bootstrap from here http://www.mediafire.com/file/pvd056ejvq0s5vh/66coin-bootstrap.rar , then unzip, database, blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat and very important inside the folder put wallet.dat and 66.conf
3. Edit 66.conf delete all nodes and put these 2 main and functional nodes
addnode=seed.66coins.com: 36666
addnode=flowpool.ddns.net: 36691
Or
connect=seed.66coins.com: 36666
connect=flowpool.ddns.net: 36691
4. Open the latest and recent version that is the 8.2 of 66coin
And already that is all you should already start to synchronize again with the original chain,
