Im no longer worried about aero, the price didnt fall like i thought it would. Someone is controlling the price..I did pick up 3 thousand aero for 2.8k on cryptsy. What a steal.

Was never worried. Still here btw, just been extremely quiet. Been doing some travelling and catching up with friends. And the whole time just waiting and peeking from time to time.

Hope you're doing well!

Community Website

For some time now, I have been working on a community website.
This is something I really think can connect our community better and make us even bigger. We can cooperate on making Aero a better and more known coin.
I have many projects in my head, but most of them are difficult to do alone, this website will be great for us to develop and get more eyes on Aero together.

It's almost done, but I would like to have some more eyes to look at it. Come with ideas, help post some stuff, etc..

Would you like to help? PM me your skype and we can chat Smiley

Thanks,
KryptoLyding

The current website has a fully functional forum.  Just need people to use it.  We can setup different topics and moderators.  Very few have taken the time to try it so I haven't expanded it any further.  I can even setup a live chat box if people will use it.

Update,

This is a Mandatory upgrade to the Aero Wallet,
Just to make it clear you should install the new Aero wallet (Aero-QT Win-Fix https://mega.co.nz/#!VoMAwBTS!TiQLAdo2YoqnPG4MDDy71gJfaXkPY3mmFmVEPYIDNfQ)

You must shut down your old wallet.
Also please delete the old wallet (keep wallet.dat).
Download and install the new wallet.
Then finally Resync your new wallet.

This is how we fix the situation in the fastest possible way!

Thank you,
Majika

Just do it!!!

Osmservices keeps being hacked away from me :-( th
Hi guys.

What was the issue with the old wallet?? Mine seems to still be working just fine, ive been away a couple of days and is still in sync and staking as normal

Yes mine was working fine too last few days (staking, updated). However, when I sent 3 transactions they showed as confirmed in the local wallet, but were in orphan blocks. The coins essentially disappeared without arriving at the destination address.

As the dev indicates above, for the time being do not try to make any transactions until he gets the network fixed (which may or may not involve updating your software as well).

Thanks for the details  Smiley

Here's my experience this morning

on Windows:
I downloaded the new windows wallet to a new machine and started the block chain download with a new empty wallet. Created Aero.conf as indicated.
Wallet has synced up to block 113599 but will not go any further. I've closed and opened the wallet a couple of times to see if that helped. But it's still just sitting at that block and won't go past it.

on Mac:
Deleted all files except Aero.conf and a backup copy of my wallet.dat from a couple weeks ago.  Blockchain downloaded successfully up to block 114017 (current as of this writing). The bad transactions I had in the last 48hrs are no longer shown in the history and my balance has been restored to the expected value.

Impressed by the stability of this coin through what I'm calling the first bitcoin "recession". I'm going to sell others at a loss to buy more cheap aero.

Aero Community,

ok, so a quick fix will be with you now (below) and closely followed by a permanent fix within the next 12-24hrs..

I would request you all to please update to this latest Aero wallet (here).

To ensure we avoid the progression of any problems its essential that you all upgrade to this NEW Aero wallet.

For the moment we have temporarily removed EM and Anonymous Transactions (aerosend) features.
These features will both be re-enabled in up coming wallet release..

This release is to get everyone back up and running again.

STEPS:

1) We need you to please do a full resync of the Aero wallet
2) rerun the wallet from the command line using Aero-Qt.exe -rescan
3) If it still fails, can you please download & use the NEW wallet (meaning backup wallet.dat, uninstall old wallet and then install this Fixed wallet)
4) Now you need to fully resync again.

New Aero Wallet Download:

Windows: Aero-Qt-WIN-v2.1.0.0-FiX
Linux build: Coming soon
OSX build: Coming soon.

Aero Wallet config file
Please make sure you only have the following 3 nodes included in your Aero wallet config file (Aero.conf)

Node 01:  104.131.254.166
Node 02:  178.62.48.249
Node 03:  128.199.136.122

Example Aero.conf

rpcuser=aerouser
rpcpassword=aeropassword
rpcport=27715
port=27716
addnode=104.131.254.166
addnode=178.62.48.249
addnode=128.199.136.122

Thank you for your continued patience, whilst we bring you the final wallet with ALL Aero features enabled.

Majika

P.S
Exchanges are being notified of the fix as we speak.
Please hold tight for confirmation of things running as normal again..
In the meantime please resync using command line OR download and update to the new wallet.
If you have any doubts about using the commandline then please just download and resync from scratch, using the NEW wallet
