Is Current in competition with platforms like Netflix?

As I understand they offer a different type of service than Netflix. More versatile, more independent and more community driven. I see them working together in the future.

What are the advantages of the Current comparing with, for instance, LuckyToken, Buglab or Seratio?

https://cdn.current.us/whitepaper.pdf

You can check out the differences for yourself here, I havent even heard of the other coins so it is hard to advise you!

I have become quite annoyed with youtube preference tracking as I find it not really precise. I hope Current can get a better thing going.

what do you mean? This might be a n00b question but what is preference tracking? I didn't see anything about that in the whitepaper.

I think that he's talking about how YouTube evaluates which kind of content each user likes.

Standalone platforms like YouTube or Spotify are limited to the content within it. On Current, you are exposed to a variety of content from other platforms that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to experience side by side. This allows our users to really deep dive into any artist, topic or interest.

so how would the tracking really work on Current? If it's based on preferences from various platforms, how would you recognize the preference? by some tags/descriptions from those platforms or sth else?
Everyone's concerns and interests are different, and it is only through big data that you can track and analyze different content based on your recent browsing and clicking pages.

I don't know if it's called preference tracking, but it sounds right Smiley For example, when you listen to a bunch of music on YT (or watch videos, whatever), then YT complies that together to try and extract a common denominator and provide you with similar videos. However, I find it to be all over the place, to be honest.

Current’s digital token ($CRNC) uniquely rewards a person's time, money spent, and data shared during the media streaming experience. This token can be used on a broad range of products, services, and in-platform advertising.

If you're like most of us, you probably use internet radio, Spotify, Soundcloud, and/or YouTube to stream media content. The Current app brings all that content to one place. Seamlessly connecting to your other media platforms, Current allows you to listen to Spotify, stream YouTube content, listen to the radio and more all through one app! It's actually really user friendly and enjoyable to use.

Current is an incentivized, blockchain-enabled multimedia ecosystem that gives people more choice in how they pay for and play streaming content.
They currently have an app in the Apple App Store and Google Play.

I have become quite annoyed with youtube preference tracking as I find it not really precise. I hope Current can get a better thing going.

The problem with this is that YT thinks everything you've ever watched is preferred, maybe in this solution that can be avoided by actually rating your preferred items, not just anything you've watched.

I already asked in the bounty thread but it gets lost in the middle of the "spam" reports...

You have a steemit bounty, but I can’t find your steemit account!

"Current" is not a very easy word to search in steemit  Tongue

Do you already have an account? Can you please share the link?

Is current's library a predefined one, or do users contribute with their own work?

Services like Spotify, Netflix and Hulu, are limited to the media library within them. On Current, you have access to an almost limitless, and always growing library of content, whether it be music, radio, podcasts and soon to be audiobooks, tv programs and movies. We also provide an alternative way of paying for premium subscriptions to these media services by allowing you to pay for them in our CRNC token. The protocol is being designed to integrate directly with these services.
