Yes.
We are comforted by the fact that the EOS team have stated that their developments costs were already covered prior to their crowdsale, and the 200++ million from the crowdsale is pure profit for them.
Although we are piggybacking their development, we are however spending a significant amount of money and time to distribute Xenon as widely as possible.

what is proof-of-individuality mechanisms exactly? how to receive airdrop if don't have too many ETH?
The function of proof-of-individuality airdrop is to distribute tokens to individuals in a way that prevents sybil (fake person) attacks.
Current mechanisms used are:
- Uploading KYC documents - such as passports - high security risk, and people are now accumulating passport scans for this purpose
- Social media account verification - eg. link your identity to facebook/linkedin/twitter - some security risks, and also carries issues with fake accounts and account hacking
- Phone verification - simcards cost almost nothing in most parts of the world now
Proposed mechanisms for fairer proof-of-individuality involve simultaneous video conference parties based on http://www.brynosaurus.com/log/2007/0327-PseudonymParties.pdf in which participants verify each other's identities at a single point in time to identify individuality.
We have a web-based implementation of this involving the ethereum blockchain. The proposed model will be monthly simultaneous video-conference events in which unique people are rewarded with tokens.
