My compact humble analysis
1-   Aurora coin is a scam.
The developer will not distribute the coins and already changed the initial mined coins (>3000) to other crypto or fiat currency and will run.
In my opinion he will not have a chance to run and enjoy the free money in the midterm. He will get a lot more in the other way, so, will be something really stupid.

2-   Airdrop is a success, two options for free aurora coin receptors:

2.a.   They will run to sell Auroras on currency exchanges to get the free money, dropping the value almost in few days after each coin distribution.
A human behavior typical of non-development countries. They will lost the main excuse to explain them self why the official currency money lost value in the last years. It will not be the Fiat system,  the banks or the international economic ghost powers. The only reason will be “the human behavior”, particularly the Icelander citizens.  They received an opportunity and will drop it out. Most crypto-currencies will suffer from this lost in the short and mid-term, doesn’t matter the algorithm or crypto-specifications. At the end, this situation will show that the human property accounting needs a central power to distribute and management the wealthy. They will return to the slavery situation because they want the other “Matrix pill”, Will be really sad.

2.b.   They will invest the currency for the near future and next generations. There are many ideas and options. Aurora coin could be the pivot point to promote and expand Iceland tourism to the world and create the first country to export “crypto-farms services” in the world (means datacenters for crypto currency). They have low temps almost all year and cheap energy. They can sell Energy on internet, instead create a costly infrastructure to export to other countries. Aurora will not fully replace the local currency, but for sure could be the engine to sell services to the world with their own natural resources.

Disclaimer: I have a few Aurora coins (purchased at 0.07 BTC), so I believe in option 2b, even with the current lost.

Nice analysis.  I own it around .08'ish.  I will hold to see what happens.  I would gladly trade all my AUR for a 49ers SuperBowl win.

AUR price has had a nice downward slide last few days.  it's broken support levels....wonder if it's being prepped for a run-up in price...or is the 5400 fork approaching ?

Country's parliament holds meetings regarding auroracoin - it's gotten big.

Quote
“There is evidence however that this is a case of [a money] scam and illegal.”

I wonder what this "evidence" of it being a scam is. Well, actually I don't. If he had any evidence he would've told what it was.

Don't be so sure. Those are politicians and not members on this forum where shit is thrown at each other without thinking every minute.
A lot of politicians make false statements but there are some who don't.

Only an Icelander would be able to tell us , if he can have a non biased view , what kind of guy this one is.

He was obviously even more clueless than the average BCT forum user and already made false statements - so I have no reason to believe that somehow that "evidence" statement would all of a sudden be true.

GambleX Exchange/Gambling

Hey guys!

Gamblex has added Auroracoins to our exchange and our gambling site. It will be fully implemented, that means we will also sell shares that distribute a part of the Auroracoin fee revenue to stakeholders.

Check out our thread and maybe Invest!

I dont believe that it will rise or drop either. If airdrop aint succesfull coin value stays pretty static, becouse the new coins are so small part of coin market. If it is success it will create new possibilities for usage of this coin and increase its value by that even new coins will be flooding to market and same time decreasing the value.

We will see...

If the airdrop will be a failure the value will go to 0.
If the airdrop will be a success and Icelanders really adopt it , the other coins will be the ones taking a dive since AUR will become a real daily used crypto.

If the airdrop will be a success and Icelanders really adopt it <- they wont. Its all because of the hype. nothing more, the 24th i would sell everything.

I'm also skeptical about this so called airdrop but i was talking about the two possibilities , if and if not.

I have a bad feeling about this.

I can't imagine a positive outcome.

I can imagine. Maybe they (Iceland parlament) end up thinking 200M$ boost to their economy is not bad at all.

Hmmm , that would be like printing money out of nowhere , wouldn't it?

Whats goin on with the value of this coin? All my mates think now the pump is done its downhill from here until once the coin is released where it will either sink or swim. What are people's thinking about this?
