If there is a problem with KGW, then just adjust the diff after every block, problem solved? I never understood the need to "smoothen" the diff changes.

I think you miss the point of the attached forum post.

The poster is threatening to attack the Auroracoin blockchain once KGW is implemented.

Its really just a notice, yet the action is threatening to anyone holding a bag of icecoin.
I wouldn't be surprised tho, if this was all just an orchestrated effort to decimate Aur price so he can buy in... Wink lolz!

not alot of info out there on how to put air into cold storage...any tips would be appreciated.

Not that I think it will be really necessary, it seems the threat is not really that real. But simply backing up your wallet.dat to USB and stop using that wallet ager block 5400 will do the trick. You can setup another wallet to keep doing your things meanwhile, keeping your wealth in the address of your cold wallet...

so, guys, can somebody explain how much in electricity does the premine cost of this AUR coins sitting in wallets? And how much time does it takes to premine at difficulty , say 0.000001 and what miner is used to do it? Someone? Balduro?
i dont know how the back end works but cant the developer of the coin manually set the difficulty and coin block reward and when it halves.

but 10,500,000 / 52500 coin per block set difficulty to 1 then block reward divided by 2100 at block 200 difficulty unlocked and set to 32 then released to masses. masses mine 110000 coins trade explodes rapes coin.

dev posts plan and addresses for the premined

the coins are going to be delt out in stages
31.8 coins per icelander over the course of 4 months then what is left divided by 330,000 over 4 more months then again with a planned 9.5% remaining of the premine being left 3% goes to dev team 3% goes to charity 3.5% gets destroyed verifiably.

It was coded so that the first block gave a huge reward of half the coins. So just solving the first block gave the first block solver all those coins, no extra power needed.

The first part is really easy, namely 0 watt Smiley . The wallets must be in cold storage, so probably lying in a safe on a USB stick or something.

Second part is relatively easy as well, but I challenge you to do some simple math yourself... maybe even use a mining calculator?

Looking at this chart it seems like the drop is trying to stop. For me it looks like it's starting to consolidate.

Yes it would seem so.

Even though Yesterday there was a pretty big pump, from 0.026 to 0.055 in minutes.

I miss the pumps, they were fun.
