Even as a non Icelander I'm totally stoked about this coin! Right now I've got all my measly 30k doge held up in the exchange but I'm impatient to get my hands on some before it shoots even higher in value. If someone could be able me a fraction of a coin to play around with before I can make my real investment that would be awesome. Again, super excited about this coin, it looks like we have a great thing going for us, best of wishes for all!

I have a gut feeling that Auroracoin is going to be bigger than Litecoin by the time of Stage 1

Auroracoin is nowhere near litecoin in reality. I guess coinmarketcap is just going to leave up that phony market cap till the end of days.

What's the true market cap? about 1.7 MIL.  But ya, it's right behind litecoin...

Hi Balduro,

Are you aware of what your project possibly offer to usual Islander? I mean today AUR/BTC output?

I'm watching this project almost from beginning and hope it will end up in all possible mining of Aurora.Wink

All the best.

wow the pools really need to remove the 0.1AUR fee to cash out, that is just plain robbery.

Agreed, which is why we've had 0.001TX fee for both manual and auto payouts since pool launch.

at 0.1 thats $1.60ish USD just to withdraw your earnings...

I've been using this pool - aur.scrypthp.com - and it's been working good. I might move to Iceland.  Cheesy

Wow...I am really jazzed about this Aurora Coin thing but mining it sucks really bad.

There doesn't seem to be enough work which reduces my hash-rate significantly.

I can make a lite-coin in roughly 1.5days but the way Aurora Coin is looking it will be more like 3 days.

I don't thinking mining has matured for this coin yet.

Well Aurora is currently worth more than litecoin so there's that to consider.

It would be nice if we had a little more information about the Aurora Coin Network.

Is a shortage of transactions a known issue right now causing shortage of work for miners?

Or, is it a pool thing?

Lots of pools were essentially being ddos'd by miners alone...Popularity exploded and many weren't ready for the surge.

We've held up reasonably well during the saga so give us a go and see if its any better.

And yet you are posting in a forum about the coin.
Must be very intriguing for you then.
You went as far as finding that out and still went looking further for info...

I'm all for this if it's legit. But there are mutiple scary elements.

Someone should setup a script and post it that monitors the pre-mine addresses :
http://www.auroracoin.org/
They are found on the Airdrop "blueprint" page.

Then if the pre-mine is moved everyone can know.
If that can be done I would feel safer. Everyone here has been burned by pre-mined coins.
Some of us badly.
well... why wouldn't he just wait till "midnight 25th of March 2014" and dump it right at the time when everyone would pump because of "successful" arrival at "airdrop" point? Nobody will be worried of coins moved out even if everyone will monitor these addresses by script or by themselves. isn't it just perfect plan?

Yes it would be.
satoshi might have done it as well. Glad he didn't.
i hope we can say the same about auroracoin in about 2 years from now.
