The coin needs to go out of the herd of copypaste coins or it will share their faith.

There are just too many coins out there, most of them purposeless, and most of those purposeless coins are going down, down, down.

BeeCoin needs a purpose. 2% to support bees (and there for, long-term life sustainability on this planet) sounds very good.

And, as this is no longer a joke meme coin, we need to change it's image too. We will need some pro org/npo like overall image, and maybe we can pay for that with the 2% dev tax.

Ah yes like that is not so bad you are correct. However gradual block tax i think is far better. With the transparent wallet we can see where the funds going but still can not stop them selling it all in one quick blast.

this dev seems really cool anyway, and i think will be much more active than most devs too.  Seems to know a lot about coin design and tech also.

I understand that, but when they are transparent with the addresses and show where its going, I think it's almost a necessity.  Releasing a coin into the wild and hoping it takes off is almost certain failure now.

Yes, with this set up ... beecoin can go very far.

Premine is not very good because devs are able to just dump the premine and leave the project.  Lots of devs do this and create lots of coins and abandon after they sell their premine on the exchange the first day.

this is a gradual block tax and i like it a lot... keeps interest , keeps generating money for projects, keeps generating funds for bees.

5% works for me as well.

2 for BEES
2 for Development
1 for Dev himself.

(This is why I don;t understand why people hate pre-mines so much.  It really helps a coin in the early stages.)

Exactly 5% is nothing if we are donating to the bee fund and some % for the devs continued work, and some developments and projects to get started up. As the beecoin price rises.... that % will pay for a lot of new services.

I mean if we raise beecoin up from a few litoshi to a few satoshi ...... that is 1000's%  people need not to be short sighted about this project. Beecoin can be a really nice project.

I AGREE, a total of 5% tax isn't bad for a coin that is going to the moon.

What right now does beecoin use for diff retarget ? it seems to have a very fast reacting retarget... is this not KGW?

Also i did see some discussion that KGW has some security issues? aurora are worried about introducing it.

Is the block tax idea possible too? I really like the idea of the 2% tax for the green peace bee fund and i very much like the idea of the development pot of 2% also. Personally i would vote for the dev pot being even higher so we actually have funds to create lots of new projects for beecoin. We really need to build some great things for beecoin, casinos , an exchange perhaps with its own bee market. Many things we need to do ... an android wallet. Also i feel the dev should have at the very least a 1% stake in the coin for the constant updating and fixing of things.  This is not like a premine where some devs just dump on exchange then make a new coin .... this is 1% for continued interest in the coin doing well and helping to develop the core if and when needed.

We need to not be short sighted about beecoin, not treat it as pump and dump like other coins. We should develop this coin into something long term and that has lots of on going projects happening.

Working on the source will post an update in a few hours also an advice on POS and difficulty curbing , the best way to curb difficulty is using KGW and tweaking it for the best of BEE and as far as POS is more for the holders , what I suggest is first add KGW difficulty retarget formula tweaked for BEE and then later on when BEE goes BEEing we'd go ahead with POS for POS to effectively initiate we need a stronger network and also more community would mean more effectiveness , also about rewards what are your thoughts about it? and the MAX_MONEY.

Yeah he did pm me earlier today... said is working on a plan for Beecoin.

Beecoin is essentially working fine right now there is no issue with the coin and the developer is really there just to keep the coin working in good order.

We have not yet as a community decided to


1. keep pow only but scale block rewards better so they don't drop to 1k and miners lose incentive

2. go pow + pos  for greater security against 51%

3. do something radical.

He said his is working on a few plans for beecoin.... let's wait to see what he says.

then we can get the new final source and construct ... mac wallets, android wallets etc.

we need to really talk about all of this on here to discuss the best plans.
