I am trying to send betacoin to Coins-E and the confirmations are not working. The amount is showing in my account as unconfirmed.

Would anyone know why this would happen.

This coin is pretty awesome... but I think there's a flaw in it.

The addresses seem to overlap with Bytecoin.  I accidently sent a mining payout to a bytecoin address instead of a betacoin address... and it worked.

There are 1,400+ betacoins currently stuck in the blockchain that will simply magically appear in some person's wallet some day.

I'm guessing my coins are lost, but you should probably fix that so it generates uniquely stamped addresses. Smiley

Sounds improbable, no offense.
Can you please provide more detailed description of events that made you think so. Thank you.
My apologies, I triple checked what was going on and I made a mistake.

I should wait until morning to complain about things instead of in the middle of the night. Smiley

I just started mining Betacoin I have 8 so far only been doing it for about an hour and a half how long before it says confirmed?

depends on the pool you are in, the pool I use requires 120 blocks before a confirm. That ends up being close to 480 minutes for every block.

iSpace pools pays out after just 20 confirms at http://bet.ispace.co.uk

Sha256 coins will not last long because it can be mined using ASIC. Some ASIC machine is unprofitable when mining Bitcoin. But when they are used to mine altcoin, they are monsters. GPU miners dont like it

Yes, it can be mined with ASIC, that is why it WILL last long:)
The question about profitability of ASIC is discussable - if you compare profits in BTC vs USD than good luck with your predictions Smiley

As for GPU miners - GPU was NOT created for coin mining, in case of mining, GPU is a waste of useful resources that could be spent on useful things not related to currencies.
As for ASIC (i mean ASICs for cryptomining) - these devices was made to keep crypto currency networks secure and must be used for this.

As for me i do not like CPU coins because it can be easily used by botnets and other crime activity schemes by using not intended hardware resources of common PC/Internet users. And it is waste of time to make same things on SHA256 because ASICs are much powerful.

Any way thank you for your remarks and for kicking discussion forward.

Ha ha how old are you? Do I need to post something about a product I buy? No I don't. Do you find that I have never posted anything about CasinoCoin but I own a lot of them?

Hater gonna hate ha ha

I don't think that you have more 12 years.
I also thing that you have absolutely no idea about cryptos beyond buying a few , sending to cryptsy waiting for them to be so valuable you can buy a lambo with it.
I think you have no idea about the protocols , clients , or economics at all.

Also I think you're one of the biggest liars on this forum.

I even own a KnCMiner. What's the problem with you? You don't?

>> Altcoins don't have a community.
Good luck to you

>> LOOK in the address bar and say the name of this alt coin community.
They have small amount of supporters and miners including me partially. How can you deny that fact? I call it a small community.

So you own a knc miner and never once posted in the knc forum or in the mining section?
Do you know how we call people like you , liars!

>> ASICs are not designed for sha256 , Asics are designed for a special job.
In theory, yes. In practice, no.

Lots of people who uses ASIC to mine Bitcoin. Lots of sha256-specific ASIC machines is now too weak to mine Bitcoin. Now miners switch them to mine SHA256 altcoin. They are monsters. They can make the diff being extremely high in a few day. GPU miners which are majority of the community dont like it.

The most important feature of an altcoin is its community

>> There is no way to design a coin that could never be mined by asics.
In theory, yes. But let's focus on practice. But let the community grow large enough before GPU miners leaves

Do you even have a clue what an Asic is , or are you one of those damn communist , everybody should have a coin?

Altcoins don't have a community.
