I have a long experience is this field and to be honest, this coin was very interesting at the beginning so i decided to invest some time in it.

There are 2 pools, one is run by euroline (bismuth.acc-pool.pw) who looks like a member of this community and the second one is run by maccaspacca (pool.bismuth.online), who is part of the dev team.

This time, i am using 20x i7 rigs.
euroline (bismuth.acc-pool.pw) - I have mined a few coins using this pool, stats are down most of the time and lack of transparency is a big issue. Not to mention that the pool was down 7h+ today.
maccaspacca (pool.bismuth.online) - This pool was tested for a few days, i mined 0.x coins, they say that the pool doesn't have enough "power" to find blocks, even if it's the OFFICIAL one.

SOLO MINING - This coin's lack of documentation is incredible, however, i have made it work and mined 0 blocks.

Click on http://bismuth.online/ledgerquery and search for the following address: 689115707970c707759d485fa13b1dac9c21b654e3feb7ffb7632ece
This address is winning the majority of blocks available, most likely the devs are running it with GPU or other kind of unfair tools.

VERDICT: SCAM COIN!

How come he is mining most the coins. Then maybe somebody created a GPU miner for this coin

Will it be possible now to mine this coin with GPU AMD?
Thanks,

There are no GPU miners for now. At least not a public one. When there will be one we will make it public. Cheers!

Latest update had a positive effect on price. I think developers should try to send a request to the bittrex.

question-

is it possible to configure mine.exe / mine.py to existing pool and not solo mine?

do we need to have node up to mine? or it will connect to existing

i had a look at acc-pool miner, is there source code for it or we just have to "trust it"?

thanks

acc-pool miner is closed source, but i wold say somewhat trustable.
optihash is open-source miner for optipool.

both miners do not need a node running, you only need a bismuth-address

guys i want to ask a quesiton ,my computer have e3-v1230 cpu ,any profit to mine Bismuth ?

You can "stake" the coin.. just means you have the coins in your wallet and leave it on 24x7.
You don't neeed a fast CPU to stake them.

If you mine them - then no your CPU wont work I don't think.

It is not POS, it is POW. So there would be no benefit to leaving your wallet open 24/7. POW means only earn coins by mining.

Does it worth to mine BIS with VPS?

It may be worth it, but you may want to check with your VPS provider. Some hosting companies forbid it on a VPS and only allow it on a dedicated server.

Is there clear instructions on how to use the interface, start node, and mining files? Do I start the node first then mining files?

Just do the following:
1. Click the Start Node - This will start the Node. It will first synchronize the ledger up to when the entire blockchain is downloaded(Don't worry, its not large). You will know its complete when message start to scroll down in every few seconds.
2. Click Interface - This will show you the current status of your account. In short this is a wallet interface.
3. Click Mining - If you wish to solo mine with your computer and earn some Bismuth coins. It will begin mining only when the complete blockchain has been downloaded. The mined coins will be added to the default account which is seen through the interface in 2. above.

Hope this helped.

New release 4.0.8.

https://github.com/hclivess/Bismuth/releases

You should update your nodes before block 340000.

Code:

4.0.8

@hclivess hclivess released this 14 hours ago

Outbound connections will now only connect to IPs which are less than 3x in the same subnet, incoming connections still supported for all nodes
Restored option to run in HDD mode (ram=0)
Light Wallet now connects to ACC pool
New difficulty model, which switches on at block 340000, all nodes must update beforehand
Accepting new peers for outbound connections is now optional (accept_peers=yes/no)
    Removed leftovers from picklemagic
    Streamlined testnet
