Can you explain more what BosCoin is doing with AI or what it means to "self-evolve"? A lot of text I'm finding seems circular in description.
For example:
“BOScoin is a self-evolving cryptocurrency platform. With so many advances in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and quantum computers, it's impossible for us to predict the future. Which is why BOScoin is designed to evolve,” said Changki Park, BOScoin CEO.
In other words, it's self evolving because of machine learning, AI, and quantum computers, which makes it impossible to predict, which is why it evolves.
I'm willing to chalk it up to English not being the dev's first language, but I'd still like to know more what the coin is about before buying it. What I read from the BosCoin site sounds more like just a simpler version of Ethereum to reduce the risk of programming errors like with what happened to DAO. I'm not really seeing what it has to do with AI or self evolving, which I'd like to understand more on.
Also regarding the ICO itself, do we need a personal BTC address/wallet or can it be sent from an exchange? It seems like no coins will be distributed until October. Is there a way to verify our ownership or is it just the BosCoin dashboard/website?
Thanks
Thank you for your question.
I'll answer it one by one.
1. A self-evolving cryptocurrency platform means that it can change it's policy and code by the decision of it's governance system. Governance system called "Congress Network" is constitute of nodes who operate the BOS platform.
2. The needs for changing it's policy and code are because we can't predict what will happen tomorrow. If quantum computer is realized, bitcoin hash power might be useless or something other things can happen that disarm the existing blockchains. In that situation if we can't change blockchain to cope with the changes of environment, blockchain network would collapse. So it is really important that the blockchain network can change and adapt according the variation of environment. We can change the core and logic by the decision made by Congress network.
3. With regard to Ethereum, we think Turing Complete is not complete when it deals with 'contracts'. Contract must be decisive. A is A and B is B just like Bitcoin has decidability. But Turing Complete has many side-effects which cannot be predicted before we run the code. Once the code run the contracts is executed. It means that there could be the result that we can't predict before. If the result is not predictable, we can't use it in contract. So we think the way Ethereum want to go is not suitable for contracts.
4. So we make Trust Contracts. What we are trying to make is the trust contract, a kind of smart contract. Unlike Ethereum, trust contract are not Turing-complete, but decidable. We are not trying to make a smart contract that could run any program, but rather we are more focused on building trust and reliability of smart contracts.
5. You can see your personal address when the ICO start. Before then the address is not shown.
6. You can check the ownership in the BOScoin dashboard/website until genesis block. We will keep it safely and backup several copies.
Thank you.
