Well....I think,we need our own forum for this coin.It is only 3 weeks old and 208 pages... Shocked
Allso will be great if we can find some trusted person who can create and hold wallet for bounties.
If community will like it,I can make one,but I don't think what community will trust to man with 130 posts.

And couple words about plotting with gpu's...Dev said he has working programm, and that means,he using it for himself right now.I think,a lot of people will cry here about it after some time.

Dev has made a lot of work and of course,he wold like to use it for himself to get paid for this work, but we can set bounty to him for gpu plott's generator.I will lovely put 9k of burst to this bounty from my pocket.

It was me that wrote about the OpenCL plot program, dev does not have one as far as I know.
Its not working btw - has some race condition and produces plot files that are only 90% accurate. I'm working on a C miner and porting it to windows currently, so the gpu plotter has low priority.

In all case, i don't think that's a gpu miner/plotter will be a good idea for this one. It could remove all the attractions of this coins if we can mine "like" other.

Just my 2 cents

Eh, the focus is still on storage. GPUs just would allow for the initial plot generation to be sped up to the maximum write speed(s) of the drive(s) you're using. It wouldn't replace hard drive mining. Someone did a test in which a GPU pulling somewhere around 250W at wall was able to mine at the effective rate of a 34 or 35GB plot. While I'm sure further optimizations were possible, both the hardware and the electricity would be far more expensive to GPU 'mine' than to hard-drive mine. GPUs would only be useful for the initial setup, and even at that point you may be limited by the write speeds of the hard drives you are using.

Do we need to generate new plots at a moment, or when its generated its for ever and not necessary to generate other for the same disk?

When the pool v2 is out you can use the already created plots.
When using different disks and the same wallet each disk should have it's own plot in a different range.
Else you will be just waisting disk space.

And in solo? not necessary to generate too? once plots created we can mine with the same plots for ever, right?

Yes. You can stick with the plots except when going from solo to the v1 pool.

Ok thx for all, i begin to understand this new mining method.
Seems to have a great potential on this one

And i didnt recive any block ... how come ?

That's a nice deadline!
Check the blockexplorer or wallet who found the block. If it's not your adress someone else had a lower deadline.
Which block number was being worked on? If it was 6577, someone beat you by 20 seconds. If it seems like you should have gotten the block it was you most likely need to fix your clock.

You are right .. the problem was my clock ... Smiley now its ok .. do i need to start plotting again or its ok?

Your plots are fine, you can keep using them

Is there a problem if my plots are not in order ... i mean if i plot from 0 to lets say 800000 and after that i plot from 5000000 is any problem  ? or the plots work just fine ... ?

You know what I think? I think our Burst DEV is the best dev since Satoshi Nakamoto!!!  Grin

Dev I want to Share a block with you (will send you 10k), is this address in your signature ok?

I encurage everyone from early miners who got many blocks to send at least one to our incredible DEV!

Share a block with DEV

+1

I did it! Smiley

Nothing is wrong.Your setup is fine and yes you are mining.
The target Deadline is 50K.

So, instead of an extremely accessible Deadline which would make more people (as in, everyone) have valid shares, this "pool" is following the path of elitism already.
Go figure, I thought the whole point of "decentralisation" would be to allow more people to get at least something back.
But no, this altcrap pool is starting right off the bat favouring the 1%, AND taking a 2% fee.

You're doing it wrong.

The deadline needs to be more restrictive than with pow coins. Verifying shares is orders of magnitude more computationally expensive than verifying normal pow shares, so in order to run a pool on reasonably priced hosting you can't verify as many shares. I agree that the target is lower than it should be right now, however the current pool pays out proportionally every time a block is found, and enough people are now on the pool that the transaction fees in doing so are starting to become significant, so sending out fewer larger payouts keeps the transaction fees down a little and should average out about the same anyway. That payout problem will not apply to v2 pool when it is released.

do you plan to send the passphrases for the v1 pools plotfiles as burst message to the payout addresses before v2 is live or can the plots seamlesly be used on v2?

The passphrases aren't unique enough to give out. What I should be able to do though is do reward assignments on all the v1 pool addresses to pay to v2, then use a list of v1 accounts in v2 to run those payouts to the correct addresses.

I consolidate my drives Plots from 1TB HDDs to 4TB HDDs. Now i have 4 folder with 4 plots and 4 miner on the 4TB drive.
On my system run to many miner jobs, it would be clearer if I this 4x 1TB plots in one folder with one miner could work.

But I am not sure whether the miner also used all my 4 plots.
