what is if someone with bigger storage capacity go mining burst?

Quote
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_Data_Center

"An article by Forbes estimates the storage capacity as between 3 and 12 exabytes"

1Exabyte = 1million Terabytes.

What if they [NSA] would troll us with mining burst?^^

They wouldn't do this because then all of their space would be useless for storing data.

what's the plan of the  future development of this coin, i mean, it can't stay at the only mine Mode innovation, what this coin can be used for? what the application it have? because we must know , what's the meaning of mining this coin...not just store a huge unusable plots to get some coins.

Hello world , I'm new here , maybe I ask a stupid question but I couldn't find any answer for this one here in posts ... When I will arrive home I will mount maybe 2 HDD more , what should i do ? just generate on them plots and it will detect atomatic that i have more plots on different HDD's? Or how should i make the process ? C: my windows , D:wallet + the program and generated plots . if an F: will come , how should i make the setup ? Thanks!

If you have multiple drives, you can either combine them into a single drive and run one copy of the miner, one copy of the wallet.

OR...

You can run multiple copies of the miner and one copy of the wallet. A copy of the miner per drive...

BUT!

Make sure that NONE of the plots you make overlap at all, and remember.... it's not (from)_(to) it's (start here)_(go this many nonces)

What's the cheapest way to set up a Burst miner? Is it better to buy an old desktop for cheap and then add on a fast SSD drive or would a standard 7200rpm drive work the same? Do the RAM and CPU requirements warrant buying a newer computer?
help us please

I don't think the speed of the drive itself matters all that much, well, not in my experience anyway, and I have mined 25 blocks Smiley

How to generate plot files for pool mining?

http://198.199.103.145:8121/
Usage:
Paste your BURST- address into the box at the top to receive a generate address.
Generate plots for that address, and use pocminer_pool to mine with them
windows: java -cp pocminer_pool.jar;lib/*;lib/akka/*;lib/jetty/* pocminer_pool.POCMiner mine http://127.0.0.1:8125 http://198.199.103.145:8121
linux: java -cp pocminer_pool.jar:lib/*:lib/akka/*:lib/jetty/* pocminer_pool.POCMiner mine http://127.0.0.1:8125 http://198.199.103.145:8121
Local wallet does not have to be running, but if it is pocminer_pool will solo mine with plots it has passphrases for

What is the minimum amount of plots(GBs) to get share in that pool?

Kinda pointless to set the local wallet imho since the address isnt there anyway so you got no valid plots - doing both at the same time doesnt really make sense either, I would just wipe the plots on one hdd and make new ones for the pool, repeat for every hdd one by one.

Where i put the address generate by the pool?

Generate plots with it.

I want buy some burst coin

- why don't you buy (or put buy orders) at Asset Exchange through BURST Gateway ?

Burst

For those, who want to trade BURST, I've created the BURST Gateway at the Nxt decentralized (= trustless) Asset Exchange (AE):

BURST Gateway address: BURST-MCHC-LBKK-ZLZY-C3XL5

Asset Name: 1000BURST

Asset ID: 251006016744564741

Each one asset represents 1000 BURST coins.

You can check 1000BURST trading volumes here or here or here!

To buy some BURST coins (1000BURST assets) just click on one of public Nxt nodes:
    http://217.17.88.5:7876/          http://109.230.224.65:7876/
     http://vps4.nxtcrypto.org:7876/  http://vps8.nxtcrypto.org:7876/   http://nxt.ravensbloodrealms.com:7876/
     https://miasik.no-ip.org:7876/    https://162.243.145.83:7876/

and enter 251006016744564741 (1000BURST asset ID) at "Asset
Exchange".

What variant best: too many small plots (50Gb each 10Plots pcs.) or 1 biggest plot ?

I think 1 big or 2 medium blocks. 10 miner for 500GB is unnecessary load and has no positive effect.

thx
I have 3 other working plots in my folder, I'll just have to delete it I suppose...

arghhh...
pc somehow shut down miner and plotting....

can I rename a partial plot (or do anything else) to be able to use it at the size it is?

>>> here is the filename: 1097082171119035817_4204803_7404803_1024,

it's size is '1,330,642,944' kb

Your must start a new plot in a new Miner folder, and start on this last nouance from the canceled plot.
Copy the miner folder without the plot folder, create a plot folder and change the run_generate settings.

1,330,642,944 / 256 = 5197824

4204803 + 5197824 = Start position.

7404803 - 5197824 = Plot size

The plots can be moved anytime. If the plots are correctly configured you only must move this on a other location/folder.
