I also offered a free server, but it seems he has handled this in another fashion. He did what he did, with a site he owned. It is what it is.

Good what you do/did, a free server in these days cost, may i wonder if i contribute anything with 750GB + 500GB hard disks?

I also offered him help, so he turned down at least three alternatives for a better one. Simple as that.

Perhaps this article will interest some:

Question still is, I think, will it take off as supposed to?

It would be a great improvement just to know that OP is updated if one misses five pages of this thread. To avoid criticism of censorship, this thread could even be kept open, just make sure most of the discussion is in the new thread.

Another reason for doing this is that we have one of the most brilliant maindevs around, if not the most brilliant. It's simply bad division of labour to him also do all the updates that a monkey could do. Let him code.

thats a good idea. still have to sort out some things on burstcoin.biz and working on new layout. will update site step by step within next days and also add some useful information for burst newcomer

why has the site been handed to a newb account again?

ffs ppl...this is not how you do business...

I am quite certain that the site is in excellent hands and mind Wink smaxer wouldn't just leave a years work to someone he isn't familiar with

newb account is a newb account. means they dont want to show their real face. Means this shit is dodgy.
what other reasons would you have for a newb account? i dont get it....

I offered a server for free for this and managing of the website, but noone reached out to me Smiley

Finally burstdev's opencl kernels find use. Thank you so much for this luxe! I have tweeted about it already.

Offhand note, are you reading this bensam Smiley

this is great news for burst!

i just developed a new query for my mysql blockchain copy to show  which miner found how many blocks and when they found their last block.

the news in this is that it seems there join many new miners who found only a couple of blocks so far.
over 100 "fresh" accounts found a block during the last week and have mined less than 10 blocks in total.

the whole list with all 343 days can be accessed here:
http://pastebin.com/wFFXRSA4

it is sorted by the last mined block in days.

Think, for God's (or whatever you believe in or not's) sake... If you wonder, PM smaxer and ask how they solved it. Don't write here when you just assume things.

BURST got Smart Contracts (AT)

Unfortunately, no there is no peerexplorer. First aid can be the peers you can rip off the web wallet at https://wallet.burst.city

With all the contributions the community and the PR department makes, Burst really need a regularly updated OP. As I and some others suggested:

- create a new (ev self-modded) OP to which the trusted members of PR (and BurstDev) have collective access to and jointly can update (and possibly moderate).

https://block.burstcoin.info/ update

Updated the asset page a bit. Added share holder info, planning on adding a dividend payer to the site as well. Added more info to the recent trades, and asks/bids.

New feature, Income. I think this has been talked about in the thread plenty. Have helped @incomeAsset of burstforum set up a faucet for paying out income. I will probably add some more assets to it as well....and yes, it is covered in ads...but not too many i think Cheesy Any money that it makes will go into buying more assets(so that you can choose, income, or something else), and paying out to Byte Ent.

EDIT: Forgot the faucet link! http://income.burstcoin.info

Thanks a lot. For now not too many questions, because the system already feels so familiar  Wink
And I already got quite some help here, thanks to everyone. Just a few general questions:

Which NXT-version is BURST forked from?
You don't support dividends yet ("(type:2, subtype:6) Colored coins --> Dividend payment"),
so I guess it is NXT1.2.x? Then I am just surprised by your more modern UI. Kind of a mixture of old and new?

IIRC it was 1.2.6, I forwarded your questions to burstdev for confirmation
The UI was redone and I think it looks better than NXT or, especially, HZ.

Do you plan to hardfork to a newer NXT API?

Forwarded this one as well.

I suppose the "burst_1.2.3" and "burst-qt" are identical (apart from the included April chain)? Or not?
Why is it called "_qt"?
For now I am using "burst_1.2.3", together with ggg25's blockchain bootstrap.

QT was just a choice due to familiarity of it in identifying wallets from other coins Smiley
dawallet and bobafett can explain that choice in more detail.
We have been slacking off with the updates of the bootstrap on the site, the community did jump in there and there are newer bootstraps in the last few thread pages. We apologize for that.

It takes very long until the "No peers found." disappears, and until I actually get connected. Today 20 minutes!
I have already added "leuma.myftp.biz; burst.ninja; pool.burstcoin.io; mininghere.com; burstcoin.eu" to nxt.wellKnownPeers
Is there a way to speed it up? Do you have a peerexplorer site which updates infos about the current network?

Unfortunately, no there is no peerexplorer. First aid can be the peers you can rip off the web wallet at https://wallet.burst.city

Lastly, if you want to directly support me, see my giveback license, I have written a new version
now also with my new BURST giveback address: BURST-ESVR-L2WJ-NT3Y-BWM6V - thanks!

Looking forward to exploring your burstworld ...

Enjoy it, you will find plenty to explore. I suggest you dive into our automated transactions (smart contracts) they are an underutilized resource. One that is pretty powerful at that Smiley

Free trial of #AltFolio = save time, react faster
xizmax, very nice, it is great to feel so welcomed ;-)

Been meaning to bug you for ages now to port your asset explorer so that it supports BURST as well. Thankfully, you found your own way here Cheesy
Ah cool, so you know my projects.

Anyone else interested --> assetparser.py and shareholders.py both analyze & act on assets.

And unrelated, but useful for AltCoin trading especially
if you own more than 3 coins on more than 1 exchange:

-->AltFolio - free trial! My main product.

If we can be of any assistance please do tell Smiley

Which version of NXT have you forked from? Looks pretty new.
Plus some own extensions - right?

And I am impressed - a thousand pages long thread, wow.

Your faucet is down, could please someone start me:
BURST- Thanks!

EDIT: not necessary anymore, I found another one: http://burstfaucet.com
Perhaps link to that instead of to ... on http://burstcoin.info/ --> resources --> faucet?
Happy, I have my first 2 BURST :-) Let's buy an alias ... ;-)
