I am having difficulty woth speed even with SATA3 drives, lots of things that seens "could work" simply don't.
By my experience I would stay away of USB 2.0 drives.

I can't read plots of 32Tb in less than 2 minutes. All on Sata3.

That is a matter of CPU bottleneck, and not reading speed. Go ahead and open a process monitor on your system. When a new block starts you will see your CPU at 100% (and if not, you need a better miner).

I spent some bucks on best A10 cpu that is available to the market, and guess what? Nothing changes.
On reading plots all cores also get to 100% and time is not significaly reduced (few seconds on 180 sec is not noticable really).

so, CPU really does not matter... not a lot. Maybe for 40 hdd cluster or so...
PM me which processor (A10 xxxx) and send me your config-file and start screenshot.
Miner has multicore processing algorithm, the more cores, the faster processing

Wow, our pool is doing amazingly! Thank you all!  Grin

Just sent the first 10k bonus to the pool address, and I think we just found 3 blocks in a row!

I put 33TB on your pool. I'll gonna see for the next few days how it goes.
So don't send me any rewards yet  Tongue

You can send me some if I decide to stay.

Hello,

I have found that optimizing plot files led me to reducing read plot time, almost by half.
From 43 sec to 26 sec.
But also, I am seeing for the first time that 4Tb hdd is having "no deadline" after reading plots 100%.

Is "optimizer" safe to use?

uray, what are doing with pool3 ?
what's the problem?
miner not connected and site not refresh...

come on over to http://burst.ga

you won't be upset, and I'll give you a bonus, and you'll get auto-bonuses too. We're the only BURST pool with auto-failover. Wink

Some of our recent payouts have been over 4k in s single payout! There are many above 1k, and a couple above 2k as well. We are getting back to our spot at the top of the best pools list Wink

-ANNOUNCEMENT-

Due to OVERWHELMING RESPONSE and POWER being put on our pool due to my giveaway, I am going to halt the giveaway at this point. Thank you all for the messages and assistance!!

Anyone who has already messaged me saying they will put power on the pool later on, is still eligible. Anyone else is more than welcome to come to the pool, but I can not do the same 1burst/gb giveaway I did anymore, for the time being.

Thank you very much and happy mining!

edit: due to the last person (awesome person) who donated over 400TB to the pool, telling me that he didn't want to take the whole 400k+ burst I was going to give him, I can actually continue the giveaway!!

So, the giveaway is still on, and not only that,Thanks to an awesome person, everyone in the pool is going to get a bonus! I am going to be sending 50k that would have gone to hashes, to the pool address so that everyone mining will get extra pay!!

I will be doing this in random amounts at random times throughout the next week or so, so get your miners on the pool, and get bonus payouts! Thanks!

Just a quick question:

Does the average earning of Bust coin depends from the pool that you choose ?

With the same plot files

Yeah, it can. But there is still luck involved with it, so after a long time it should even out.

Ok thanks

Is it better choose a pool with a higher number of miner ?

Since, on the long term, it should even out, it doesn't really matter.
The difference is only in the variance of time between payments. The more "power" (not miners) a given pool has the quicker and distributed the payout but also the smaller amount, viceversa pools with less power may even pay 1 time per day but with way higher payouts. I'm obviously making "extreme" examples since Burst pools don't behave exactly like other coins pools, but their are quite similar.
With 10TB of plots I would go somewhere not too big (this should be the target of small miners, i.e. <3TB) but neither too small (this, instead, could be the target of >12 TB).
