Creating OpenCL context
An OpenCL error occured in the generation process, aborting...
>>> [-33] Unable to create the OpenCL context

oh look, new error Cheesy

This error is CL_INVALID_DEVICE... Congrats, that's a first ^^ Looks like the selected GPU device is not located on the auto-selected platform. The next version will let you choose both the platform and the GPU to work on, so this issue would be fixed. Be patient, I'm working on it as fast as I can.

If we can get BURST on Bittrex as it heads toward the end of the wedge, we could see a really nice breakout.

It should be a no-brainer for them. Money in their pocket.

same thing, but this problem is affecting only win7 user, win 8 is better in this regard

Would this work to clear the RAM? %windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks

I have to stay at Win 7. I have software that won't run Win 8. My Win 8 laptop did not have Java installed so you may need that.

I am on windows 7 using the old pool miner with no ram issues memory leaks or the likes. plus m8ne runs with the start as just java no drive:/windows/java/everything

can you try with uray pool? what do you mean with "the start as just java" your miner is in the hd without java?

and how many plots file and TB?

can i run two miner in one pc with  two hdd drive in one pc?
each hdd(4TB)
ram:8gig
cpu:corei7 2600k

Of course you can, just beware that for 48h your PC will be unusable cause plotting requires lot of CPU work

i created plot with my gpu 280x 10gig in 7minutes thats good bro with 13.12 ati driver.  SmileySmiley

so...no one has adressed the kernel memory(paged) problem? after closing the miner the memory remain there

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8751330

I think that if Windows needs that memory it will start cleaning seeing that its not being used anymore

you mean that if i add other TB, that mem won't increase farther?

It might increase further. But Windows will report that its being used to keep files in memory in case you use the app again.
So, opening the miner again should increase the ram usage a bit, but not as it would when you started it the first time.
This is pure theory, so I might be wrong.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work this way. Windows can cache so much that the miner can crash due to bad allocs. And then it still doesn't release the memory after the miner is down.

It seems to be a problem that gets worse over time as windows sees you keep reading the same file/s

I was able to keep it under control by disabling prefetching and superfetching as detailed here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8635800 , but that didn't seem to work for Amph

Is it a pagefile issue in his case possibly? Windows 8/8.1 does not seem to have the issue as Amph has in Windows 7.

someone is mining of on windows 8 here? can he post a screen plz?

This is what you want ?

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8740388

with how much TB you are mining? you are at 3.57gb already

9tb when i take this screen

then i'm going to try win8

What changes the low value of deadline?? Staggersize, big plots or other??
If a computer is plotting, the mining is affected??
Anyone??

10 minutes out from the completion of plotting 1TB with the GPU plotter and the fucking thing crashes with  a "Gpuplotgenerator has stopped working" and the entire plot file is reduced to 43GB.

This thing is more trouble than it is worth - I left the damn computer alone for 7 hours because the driver crashes if you do anything with it while it is plotting and it STILL crashes randomly.

God damn this whole plot generation nonsense. Wastes hours, even days of peoples time to write a bunch of useless data to a hard drive - either unacceptably slowly or infuriatingly unreliably.

Sad

like i said, buying coin is easier than mining it.

Plotting and mining is only the first step. U still got to deal with pool problem from time to time. After u finish with pool u got to deal with exchange problem like polo deposit not showing up after many hours. After everything is settle than u got bad sector on one of ur HDD....

You are so right brother. Should have just 1 BTC of these and put em away. What a fucking shambles this whole process really is.

Mining seems easy but its not. Especially if u are going big. The bigger the farm , things get complicated. U have to spend a lot of time buying hardware , setting up , etc. The question is how much is your time worth ?

For instance , if u are a professional earning $50-100 per hours , u are better off buying coin. Seriously. Spend the time to earn money and buy coin. U will get more coin than spending time to mine.
