It might increase further. But Windows will report that its being used to keep files in memory in case you use the app again.
So, opening the miner again should increase the ram usage a bit, but not as it would when you started it the first time.
This is pure theory, so I might be wrong.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work this way. Windows can cache so much that the miner can crash due to bad allocs. And then it still doesn't release the memory after the miner is down.

It seems to be a problem that gets worse over time as windows sees you keep reading the same file/s

I was able to keep it under control by disabling prefetching and superfetching as detailed here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8635800 , but that didn't seem to work for Amph

What changes the low value of deadline?? Staggersize, big plots or other??
If a computer is plotting, the mining is affected??

disabling superfetch made no difference, same for "disablepagexecutive"

Hey guys, just for info.

Sometimes i have my mining window which close after 2 to 10 hours of mining.

And i resolve my problem (i think). This is because i have plot file which was not finish properly (window closed before the end of plotting).

So i replot them until the end, and now, no more problem, mining without closing since one day.

So mining with a plot file not correctly finish working and display error, but working well if you finish it correctly

You people be bringing out random FUD. VHD is primarily just a virtual file format with a limitation of 2TB. As fanepatent said, how would you put that on a smaller footprint of storage? How can you spoof the process to trick the miner? It's like asking an Elephant to come out of your rear.

The entire point of Proof of Capacity, is the plots prove you have that much space. Impossible to prove you have space when you don't have that space, i. e. VHD.

just let them spread fud, these will not stop the increasing difficulty of mining, if they have time, they had better to buy more hdds, not spread fud, when they found they can not mine the burst anymore, and the price of burst raise lot, they will regret and crying what they have done in the past, begging the time would return.

Nope, you have to generate new ones, i generated plots with 1000 nounces to test it, same number -> always same checksum, different number -> different checksum so they are different by content.

No, renaming them will not work. You need to re-plot with the new wallet ID
