BZEdge is a 4th generation cryptocurrency free from developmental boundaries, restrictions or limits. It is a community-driven coin, which aspires to build an ecosystem that provides reliable solutions for multiple real-life needs.

BZEdge came into existence when BitcoinZ forked to Zhash (Equihash 144,5) around block 160.000.

While the BTCZ fork was successful, the old chain remained active and unmaintained, so a group of developers and crypto enthusiasts adopted it and name it BZEdge.

At block 200.000 BZEdge implemented another fork and changed the POW algorithm to Zhash in order to maintain ASIC resistance. At the same time, block time was reduced from 2.5 minutes to 1 minute to allow for faster transactions. This fork was not revealed to the public in order to prevent a repeat of the severe equihash attacks that happened when the first batches of ASIC miners wreaked havoc on many chains.

BZE is not tied or cuffed in any way by any rule or person that can prevent the stated primary goal of keeping up with the latest technological development and advancements in blockchain evolution. Any new technology that becomes available can be implemented as a feature in BZEdge ecosystem as long as it brings values to end users, miners, and investors.

Multiple projects will be presented to the public as teams are working in parallel to reach various goals that will deliver individuals and companies tools that will fit their needs while utilizing BZEdge as a primary engine.

The team is focused on a complex set of tools and products, thus, it is premature to highlight any of them now before having released a beta version of the software or a minimal proof of concept.

However, a few project items that are definitely in the pipeline are (spoiler alert!): an "OTC platform", a "Universal Payment Gateway",  a "Multipurpose Wallet",  a "Sign-the-deal",  a "Freelancing Platform", and a "Call to have a share", and this list will grow.
