You have coins that are 12 days old? How is that possible if the release was 10 days ago? They are being mined and several people already confirmed it :-) Stake has it's own difficulty too. So depending on it, you might get a stake after 7 days. And coin age is counted from after it has been confirmed

Sorry ..10+ days old. 90% of my coins were mined within the first 5 hours of release.  Is there a way in the client to show the amount of coins that have matured?

Sending you a pm if you don't mind as I am confused by something. May have just generated a POS.

Yes, you generate coins based on your holdings given that you've held the said coins for a given amount of time. In this case 7 days. You'll see staked coins marked as "mint by stake" in the wallet transactions tab

So the coins have to be held by the wallet for 7 days before you can start mining proof-of-stake off of them?

How do you actually mine the proof-of-stake blocks?  Just mine like normal and it will mine towards both the POW and POS?  Or do you not have to actively mine on that wallet at all?

What happens if you do not solo mine, but use a pool? Are you still mining POS?

In linux, how would you check if mined a POS block?

Sorry for all the questions.  Thanks in advance.

No need to mine at all. The wallet has a separate, own, miner for the PoS mining.

Has anyone mined a POS block as of yet?  I have 10+k that are 12 days old. How do we know if POS mining is working from a linux client?

Can someone explain how the proof of stake mining works?  I have heard it talked about repeatedly, but not 100% I truly understand how it works.

Is it simply that you generate coins based on your holdings?  How can you tell if you have a POS block?

Any details would be appreciated.

I just installed Blazr2's new version and on install my two mined blocks from yesterday disappeared.

Anyone know what may have happened?

There was a fork yesterday, you might have been affected by it

Greatly appreciated. Thanks. I didn't see a need to update version for a cosmetic fix :-P but if people see a need to give a new minor version to future small updates, I will :-)

Hello Coins
So, who can report the first staked block?  Wink

Updated github with a fix to correctly display staked coins. Now they are marked "mint by stake" instead of "sent to". This is just a makeup ;-)

Hello Coins
Make sure you connect to the seed node in the OP (or update latest git, i've hardcoded it in)

There was a small fork some hours ago, Please update the wallet with good checkpoint

There's nothing really critical in the update, If you have sync issues and don't wanna update the wallet, just remove your blk* files in the data dir and launch wallet with "-connect=" It'll sync with the seednode and should fix the issue

Kay, nodes are in AND i updated so this should be good for now Cheesy

Back to solo mining, switched all gpu miners to my wallet, pool became big enough ^^

Yeah, pool getting more and more attention :-)

Yeah, good coin, good pool, much attention *cough*

We need another pool.
