That is ever the issue with most of the coins released on here.

I too watched a lot of pumps and dumps on alts. My point was to release a coin that won't be mined in millions after a short time. A coin that has enough time between blocks, although this sacrifices confirmation time, and has a well defined difficulty adjustment and reward. My point was for this coin to be mined at a more or less constant rate, not causing millions and billions to be dumped after it just hits an exchange.

I do not understand why people would think that would help a coin grow. I would accept cache since it was released properly. I only bothered to look at usde to see if it would be worth mining, oh how quickly I found out I should not.

I just watched another pump n dump attempt on a new coin USDE, it failed so hard with their massive instamine. Gj kalgecin not being a greedy douche instamining the chain at launch and screwing everyone.

yeah got nothing but orphans with 16Mhs, and i started mining @ blok 56...

Yes although some may have begun to do solo since the difficulty went down. And we plan to accept this as one of the coins on our asic exchange so this will be a good one to hang onto.

nice to hear taht Jasinee!

What can I get with 18K?

That will depend on market values on the exchange, I try to see ahead of the curve but I am not psychic Tongue

I do not see anyone in the pool. Are people still mining this?

Cheers for the insight, something new to learn every day Cheesy

GPUs will always be faster... It's just a matter of efficiency. But I noticed, as the nfactor increases, the ration of gpu_speed:cpu_speed decreases. Dunno if it actually converges though :-P

Read that too, at what point will it be less effective to use gpus? I got some cpus on PTS running too ^^

Well, nfactor above 12 should render the gpus less effective at mining (considering power consumption). It'll still be faster than cpu, but it won't be worth it. Unless maybe the coin value boosts up like crazy :-P. But even then, I thing a cluster of CPUs would perform better :-)

What exactly does that mean? Is there a scrypt-jane FAQ somewhere? ^^

And do i have to change anything at my miner / yac source?

No, the miners adjust themselves. The increasing of nfactor just makes it harder to hash. So mining becomes less efficient on GPUs compared to CPUs
