Once the rewrite is complete we will begin building out the interchain which will allow communication between blockchains (without the need of sidechains). This will build out the basis for the network that will allow end to end encrypted communication and transfer of data. Think of it like TOR, if TOR was not created by the US military with likely multiple backdoors. There is a lot to do still before we get to that point, but the amount of flexibility that the coins wallet will support will likely be shocking. This is what you get when you write the code with a goal in mind rather than patching it with little knowledge of how to write the code in the first place.

Always love reading this thread! Keep it up

750ti only so far since it's the only Maxwell card available, i think the faster ones are scheduled around october but that's more or less rumors.

Since it's a small card you will only get power in numbers, run at least 5 cards per board.

Thank you for the reply. Some time ago I heard that 740(I think) with hilarious 4GB of RAM, can do miracles on chacha.
Actually I am thinking about selling all my radeons and replacing them with 750tis Cheesy

Edit: Guess I could use a model with PCI-E power connector, so all the power is not going through MB. Not a fan of powered risers.
Yes you can about 740 4gb that think might be a beast for scrypt chacha it may even beat the r7 240 4gb for price/kh/s .

What is the khash/s for the 740 4GB at NFactor 14?

Windows or Linux OS ?

Mm maybe around 4 or 5 kh/s pm Thirtybird the author of yacminer for more accurate information. About the os windows is better overall for scrypt chacha linux throw constant kernel panics and filesystem errors no matter what distro you use and how many usb drives you change atleast on my rig.

The coin is being rewritten in clean code, in OOP, with unit testing...unlike btc. Think of the changes going into play taking the same amount of effort that was required to write bitcoin in the first place. But this time including all the features that were missing from btc.

And new NFactor kicks in (was 13, is now 14) - hashrate is now even lower Smiley

Difficulty will adapt soon, so the gap with very hard-to-find block won't last long Smiley

So, the rewrite is in Java, or is Java client just one of multiple clients?

Java client would mean that making for example Android port (so you can have wallet in every smartphone/tablet) from those sources should be quite easy, this would ease also integrating it in Jave server software (enterprise stuff, shops, etc .... Smiley) ....

In any case, unless there would be some really large changes to the protocol, maintaining also the original Qt client (desktop wallet and coin daemon) would be relatively easy Smiley

It's a complete rewrite of java. We're planning to only maintain only one version of the client. The communication protocol will remain compatible with the current c++ clients for the transition time, but will be dropped later in favour of a more light communications. The rpc calls will still remain the same, so miners won't have trouble. According to tests so far, the fact that java is slower is pure BS, in fact, the java version puts less load on the raspberry pi on which i test it, compared to the c++ version. But this is not yet a final version, so we'll see. I'm going off for a month, so might not spend as much time online, but the development isn't slowing down, as we have hired a team of devs to continue the work. Which i'll be keeping an eye on and testing.
