I would like to know what is the hashrate for R9 280x?

And if its even possible to mine at this n-factor with only 4 GB of RAM?  Undecided

how much ram does your card have ?  i might be able to give you a good config for the card, you should consider upgrading your system ram to 8gb at least, but i think 4gb is still possible at this stage

I like this coin because you can get coins to for free and the wallet works great!

You should try the testing branch Wink the unresponsiveness during staking has been fixed.

As we have alot of reasons to ramp up cachecoin mining Smiley I was hoping to build up a list of graphics card people use and the Kh/s they get for each card. I am planning on expanding my cache mining farm and I'm looking for the most cost efficient card.  I will start:

Nfactor 12

Sapphire 290x Tri-x OC - 72kh/s - will check for power requirements - $549.99 (new egg)
nvidia GTX 750TI - 25kh/s -

Since we're on a sharing mood, for nvidia GTX 750TI I'm using the following:

Code:
cudaminer.exe -a scrypt-jane:CACH -o stratum+tcp://cach.catcoin.cz:3333 -u user.worker -p password -i 0 -L 2 -l T5x12 -q

Important: use cudaminer version 28-02-2014, other/newer versions suck at scrypt-jane.
These settings will reach 25kh/s at the current nfactor, plus some, depending on how adventurous is your overclocking  Wink

Happy Mining,

I would like to share my config for 290x sapphire tri-x oc i get about 72 kh/s each card with no hardware errors, i use yacminer which allows me to adjust rawintensity and to better tweak my miner , the config i use

yacminer --scrypt-chacha --gpu-engine 1025 --gpu-memclock 1400 --gpu-powertune 20 --worksize 128 -g 1 --lookup-gap 3 --buffer-size 3532 -R 10496 -o http://q30.qhor.net:8336 -u "username" -p "password" --auto-fan --temp-target 80 --temp-overheat 85 --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1 --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388949883

if you need help with configuring other cards please pm. thanks !

recent changes from the master branch merged into testing (preparing to make a new release [not mandatory]). Anyone else had problems, apart from needing to resync? Resync is required due to the change in the way blocks are saved and read from the blockchain.

any plans to set up a web store where people can sell things and accept cache ?

example like this but users can add their own stuff

The update should actually increase the chances of staking Wink but for now update at your own risk. Backup the wallet! And you'll need to resync

Small update coming in. A fix for the 100% CPU usage while PoS mining fix in the testing branch. If you'd like to test it: https://github.com/kalgecin/CACHeCoin/commit/0057a497b42e87f9929134180ffd639edf90017a

Interested.

are you adding anonymity into the PoS solution?
Yes. That is in progress, but lack of time on my side is the barrier

Heads up. If you followed all available instructions (wallet open, wallet unlocked, waited for weeks) and get no coins via stake you might have "too small" transactions on your account. Maybe you have a very low payout threshold or mining with low hashrate on p2pool, this will result in a lot of dust which "can" stake but due to the small amount the chance is very low.

Solution. Create a new address and send all your coins in one transaction to the new address. Start again (wallet open, wallet unlocked, wait for weeks).

How 2 unlock it?

it´s quite simple... from the OP  Wink

"to unlock your wallet, enter this command in the CACHeCoin QT wallet client debug console located under help menu:

Code:
walletpassphrase thisismypassphrase 99999999 true

Replace "thisismypassphrase" with your encrypted wallet passphrase. This will unlock your CACHe wallet for staking for 1157 days (99999999 seconds = 1157 days). Upon restarting your client you will need to re-enter this command, as it is not saved."

Thank ya, sexytime and e high 5  Cool  Wink

coins aren't staking?  10 days for the first 78 coins I deposited.  The wallet isn't encrypted.  My version is v0.5.0.0-g32a928e-cach-wm-alpha.  Is the wallet broken?  If anyone can give me some advice please do.

perhaps, you should use Version 0.5.0.2 from the op  Wink
for me, it works fine with my encrypted wallet... just unlocked it and get staked coins for several weeks

Thanks!  i just updated to 5.0.0 several weeks ago.  Didn't think to look for ANOTHER new wallet Embarrassed.   I'll see if that does the trick.   Not looking forward to waiting another 7 days though  Angry

Have you been keeping the wallet open all this time? It'll help if you could give the transaction IDs of those coins

OK updated the wallet and have it open.  Does the wallet have to be open to mint coins or do I just have to stake the coins to have it mint them?  If I've already had these coins in an open wallet for 7 days (V. 5.0.0) do I have to restake them (in wallet 5.0.2) even if they never staked in the old wallet?.

Please read the first post. you don't need to do anything if your wallet is not encrypted. PoS blocks are nenerated automatically by default

A transaction of similar amount, took about 28 days for me

these coins should stake tonight     Transaction ID: 65828da0163d977aa04a061eaf80344fdcac3c4842af58ed03614cc9b8bbb69d

There's no "Should Stake". PoS block are generated by luck. just like PoW blocks are. To increase your chances, you need to keep the wallet open more. The last transaction is ~4 coins. That will surely be at least 30 days

Thanks for the info...this REALLY! should be included in the howto section of the OP.  Not really enough info there on POS
