This California coin seems to have long threads.  Hey California friends, hello from New England region.

If some old member of California coin wants to revive this old regional coin, I am offering you an exchange listing at
ShorelineCrypto exchange at very low price, 0.01 BTC or  well below 0.005 BTC equivalent if the payment is paid on NewEnglandcoin (NENG) exclusively. Checkout
our other regional coin listing:
NewEnglandcoin (NENG) :  https://shorelinecrypto.com/market/DOGE-NENG
Quebecoin (QBC): https://shorelinecrypto.com/market/DOGE-QBC

I am aware that there was some dispute on old dev large pre-mine. I am not too worried about that. The old dev is likely long gone and sold out. The
trading price is going to be very low initially and can be low and gradually going higher as trading price and market will re-distribute coins across different supporters.

As long as some old members still have old coins and blockchain to sync wallet, this coin can be reborn.

I was sending bitcad4u a PM some days ago w/o an answer.

It's over  Sad

Any updates on the progress of the new coin with the new algo? The timeline only went up to Sept. 14 and we're now on the 15th, just kinda wondering. Maybe it's just dead and that's that.

Got rid of mine a couple of days ago.

First I thoughed to simply trash them, but than ... maybe I can still get some beer out of it.
Checked through the forgotten buy offers from other coins and dumped it into the best offers I could find.  Grin
Dumped again what looked shitty and ended with btc (0.xxx), a few ltc and a little stack of dogde; last one nearly trippled yesterday.  Cool

Some people must be wondering now why they suddenly owned lots of CAC and than it got delisted.  Cheesy

C-CEX is de-listing this coin.  CoinGather.com will be offering the coin for the foreseeable future.   You must withdrawal your coins from C-CEX before they delisted it, or your coins will be gone.

I'm interested in the change, but the previous wallet is not online anymore. Undecided

Somebody has a good link to download it?

Try this yet?

First of all:
English is not my native language (think I said it before), so don't get upset if something isn't set in the most polite way.
I am not trying to upset you here.

We are in crypto land where anon is a big deal.
At the same time we want a single person not being able to change his pile of premine into the new coin.

Not an easy task.
Can we make it and be sure this person will not be able to change a single coin?
Sadly I don't think so.

Several people don't feel comfortable about sending in copies of their id card and gave examples of why this also would not make sure he is exclude.

I came up with the idea of the transaction log and tried to explain why I think it would be a good solution, even that it is not 100% sure either.
Whatever he has mined himself will be hard to track down to him I fear. Here he looks like every other miner, you and me included.
The premine is a different situation I think; there we should be able to find the traces of those coins (provided we have a working block explorer, even a local one will work).

Can we discuss this? Maybe others have more ideas they can present and discuss?

I really would like to make progress here.

On a side note:
How is the programming of the new algo going? Or did it stop until changing old to new coins is decided? I think this is sort of independent from each other.

I am with you on this.
Let the old dev get his mined coin, he got them fair and square. Just trace the premine so he doesn't change those.

Traders are checking atleast the sell orders, order history and ANN thread.
Why would they buy if the old coin is dead (dev gone), the new one isn't out yet (is it still coming?) and conversion conditions are unclear.
