They'd need to upgrade to the newer version. Hopefully they've still retained the wallet (and are willing to pay out balances). Would you be able to point them to this thread in your enquiry?

Why not re-brand? I know this coin from around the beginning of the year. It wasn't very popular then, what makes you think it'll attract investors now?

This coins was very dead. Why do you revive it?
Couple of reasons.
1. The coin died due to a technical issue (flawed retargeting setting difficulty impossibly high after a major hash increase) rather than people just abandoning it.
2. People had balances at coinedup that could not be withdrawn, because the network was not minting blocks.

We badly need a pool so that people don't have to fool around with solo mining. I don't have any CAGE at all, so perhaps someone else with a decent balance could offer a bounty?
