Got it synching and all my CDN are there, the migration worked fine.

Also, exchanges:  Now that we are almost complete with the pivot work, we will be focusing on exchanges.  Right now, fides-ex.com is our go-to exchange.

You can use explorer.canadaecoin.ca as a node, which should also give you more nodes via p2p.

add `addnode=explorer.canadaecoin.ca` in your config file or type `addnode explorer.canadaecoin.ca add` within your debug console.

It has come to our attention that our lack of posting here on BitcoinTalk is a major oversight on our part.  We were wrong in our thinking that our supporters were all in the loop within our blog and social channels.

A few weeks ago, Coinomi had decided to no longer support the Canada eCoin project within their wallet.  This initiated a scramble within our core team to get the pivot done so we can focus on a mobile wallet solution to fill the gap created by our ejection from Coinomi.

On Friday October 2nd, at 10am CST, on block 6597666, we started the pivot process with the intention to have all the wallets in order and repopulated within 4 hours.  We spawned a new chain and had all the Volume 1 transactions migrated to Volume 2 within the right amount of time, but it took quite a bit longer to have our gitian built wallets available on Github. https://github.com/Canada-eCoin/eCoinCore/releases

We apologise to all the bitcointalk users here that missed any/all announcements regarding our situation with Coinomi the pivot into Volume 2.

I assure you that your coins are safe.  If you currently have coins within Coinomi that you need to get out, please see the link Coinomi has provided within the wallet.  If you have a desktop wallet that you have not yet migrated to volume 2, the process is as easy as copying the wallet.dat file into the datadir of volume 2 ( be mindful that you should back up your volume 1 wallet before running volume 2 as they both use the same default datadir )

Over the next few days/weeks, our team is moving all the Vol1 services to Vol2; this includes our explorer, directory and electrum servers.   More information about the pivot results will be available shortly, along with enough details that anyone can perform an audit on the process.

Good day fellow eCoiners!

I am happy to announce that the Canada eCoin Foundation has begun breathing it’s first breath.

First on the agenda is to establish a stable place for us all to create and share; we have chosen keybase.io for this.

Keybase also allows us to create teams and chats, but that is just scratching the surface.  Using cryptographic maths, Keybase gives us secure (public and private) file shares and git resources which is an important feature for us.  ( https://keybase.io/ )

Right now, we use Keybase to coordinate the development of our directory software called Indie Express ( https://canadaecoin.directory/ ) as well as to share and collaborate on the data we collect for the directory.  We have been using Keybase for nearly two years and it has become an integral part of our daily workflow.

Ultimately, using Keybase as a part of our central command and control center, we can secure ourselves without relying on third parties.   Some might wonder why we don’t consider Keybase to be a third party, and the reason is because Keybase’ software runs on our own computers, the user accounts are generated by the users themselves, it is open source, and the majority of its functions would still work long after the Keybase team disappears.  We look at Keybase like a set of behaviors more than just tools.  Employing these behaviours can set a user free from spying eyes and enormous data collection by bad-actors.

And now, thanks to these powerful features and behaviors brought forth by the Keybase team, we can create dapps without requiring the user to pay fees nor force users into buying or using our specific token; the Canada eCoin.  This is a break-through and we are surprised that more developers in the crypto space haven’t become wise to Keybase.  Mind you, we are still baffled that not many others are using auxpow either.

Hey there Greek,

The online wallet is still in development and truthfully, its not a major priority.  We would rather our users be responsible for their own coins.  Check out Coinomi for a super nice crypto wallet that lets you remain in control of your coins.

Coinmarketcap is not tracking the markets we are on, our volume is not high enough.  I personally feel that CMC is censoring us (and thousands of other projects) our for some reason.  We are a small community project focused in a country with only 35 million people, so keeping our volume up to par with the big boy coins is not really that feasible.

It has been a while since my last update.  I hope all of you are doing well. 
 
Here is a quick update about some things that are on my plate:

Canada eCoin Community Business and Bounty Directory
I would like to offer a sneak peek of our Canada eCoin Community Business and Bounty Directory.  Canadians can find local places to buy/sell/spend/earn crypto currencies as well as earn some eCoins by completing bounties and/or submitting resturants/stores that accept crypto or by enhancing our dataset by uploading pictures and reviews.

This webapp is currently pre-beta and has only yet been populated with a small selection of ATM machines across Canada.  We are looking for testers to try it out give feedback and suggestions on the front end as well as a couple node/meteor devs that might want to join in and help us continue to develop it out. 

In a nutshell, the directory is not only a place to search through public data (like ATM machines, exchanges, events, merchants and such), but will also be a hub for digital introductions where the participants as individuals can come together to create their own adhoc (personal and private) networks of trusted peers; based on their own connections/resources. 

This directory is a single example instance/component to a larger (self-hosted/self-centralized) methodology where peers buy/sell/ask/bid on any asset, product and service available from within their own trusted network of peers.

The longterm goal here is to create a downloadable dapp where any person can seed any number of their own digital groups or communities, public or private.  Members of these decentralized communities can join, publish bounties and business listings to the public directory; then, during their interaction with respondants (if they have been suitabily introduced to one another), can swap keys and carry on doing business outside of the central directories and inside of any anhoc p2p/chatter/chain that best fits their needs.

Remember, it is impossible to delete cloud data with any kind of confidence, and your host may already be compromised. Taking on a self-hosted/self-centralized methodology in regards to your personal data and digital interactions is imperative.

As we move forward into the future, we are excited to establish a non-profit organisation to be the overseer of the community based apps/sites that we produce.  The Canada eCoin Community Foundation will be responsible for maintaining consensus within the community and create structure which will allow us to establish a chain-of-command in regards to ownership/responsibility of our resources.

Ask for Canada eCoin at your favourite exchange
As you might be aware, Cryptopia has been disabled and they were hosting our main markets.  This has affected our Coin Market Cap listing which was recently disabled.  In order to fix this, we need to find some more exchanges for CDN.  If you think The Canada eCoin would be a good fit on your favourite exchange, please ask them to list us.  If you would rather we reach out to your favourite exchange, please let me or another eCoiner know, either here or in our discord channels.
