I just bought a bunch of Clams on Poloniex and I was wondering since there was a new release yesterday are my coins on the exchange safe? Do I need to do anything or is my Clams on the exchange automatically updated to the new version?

Your coins on the exchange should be fine.  I don't think the new update invalidated the old client, it's just better.  Welcome to clam!!!!

Can anybody please point me to a list of casinos that accept CLAM type bankroll-investments.

I would like to invest some of my personal CLAM's in them, thank you!

I only know of two (as does http://dicesites.com/ )

  Just-Dice.com (10% commission, 11880k wagered, 764k bankroll)
  bitdice.me (20% commission, 292k wagered, 10k bankroll)

There's also bustaclam.com and fortunejack.com which take CLAM, but I didn't hear about them taking bankroll-investments.

Apologies if I missed anyone.

Must say I'm not a happy camper.
CLAM's would be considered as high price crypto currency  and so I don't have that much of it.
And when second stacked CLAM in a row is mined but not accepted one needs to think developers have not they eye on a ball. Angry

It sounds like you are getting your blocks orphaned.

To reduce orphans:
- Ensure that your system clock is sync'd and that you are connected to peers (the more the better). Ensure you aren't getting timestamp errors in your logs.
- Latency is important; anything you can do to reduce latency might help.
- Given that latency is important, a smaller number of larger outputs may result in quicker stakes and thus more quickly broadcast stakes.

Just a few things to try.

Computer time sync I already did like week ago. Had started to get orphans on other coin but this helped a lot.

But this latency thing... I don't understand it please explain. What it is and what can I do?

maybe BayAreaCoins is onto something after all if bloggers like yourself are willing to fuck over their audience in exchange for a tiny referral fee.

Ouch that was harsh  Grin. But I agree with Dooglus, even if JD does not have a referral system, I'm happy to list it as a good investment on my website because it's one of the most trusted service around, it would be a shame to not put it first, then maybe after clamchecker.
I will definitely write a digging tutorial on my website, good idea, and hopefully accurate  Grin.

my new article about how to get CLAMs, donations for beer are welcome Wink

http://fuk.io/holding-btc-ltc-or-doge-since-long-time-here-is-free-money-for-you-clams/

Quote
CLAMS is a cryptocurrency with unique distribution model – they sent 3.1 million CLAMs to random BTC/LTC/DOGE wallets that had any amount before May 2014.

That first sentence contains around 7 errors:

* I don't think the method is unique. I think it has been copied (unsuccessfully) since.

* Who is "they"? You use the pronoun without first introducing anyone.

* CLAMs were sent to each address, not each wallet.

* 4.6 CLAMs were sent to each address, not 1.

* 3.2 million addresses received CLAMs, not 3.1.

* The distribution wasn't random. All BTC, DOGE, LTC addresses with more than a tiny balance received the 4.6 CLAM distribution.

* It wasn't before May 2014 that the snapshot was taken. It was the 12th of May 2014.

The rest of the article isn't much better. It could really use a spellcheck.

It's interesting to see that you linked to the clamchecker site with its excessive fees for digging and didn't mention that just-dice.com offers the same service for free. I guess that's the power of affiliate links - maybe BayAreaCoins is onto something after all if bloggers like yourself are willing to fuck over their audience in exchange for a tiny referral fee.

I removed the links in the OP post to previous "STABLE" versions due to the improvements in connectivity and specific bug fixes in more recent versions.

The last line of the OP links to my bootstrap.dat, but doesn't mention the partial bootstrap files.

Maybe it's better to link to my bootstrap post which I keep updated, which links to the partials, and which gives the checksum of the bootstrap file too, so people can check that it downloaded correctly.

This means that the private key has been compromised? if i dont use it?

What's the address to that service ?

www.ClamChecker.com

You can check your Bitcoin, Dogecoin and/or Litecoin addresses without compromising them using that service.

May I ask what address this is?  I've gotten several similar private emails as well.

Do you control that key or is it your deposit address at some exchange or service?

If that is your addresses and you haven't dug the CLAMS... I'd say it has been compromised.
