I had imported my LTC wallet to find one distribution, and today I emptied out my bitcoin wallet and imported it and thank you! I didn't have any doge at the time, I wonder how well doge holders did.

I think the issue is Yacuna trading at a higher price (showing $3.82 on coinmarketcap)--- they must be taking an average of all exchanges.

I don't think it can be the average, since the price seems to be jumping between two different values. An average would move more gradually.

I guess they're either using "last price on any exchange" or just "last price on Yacuna" (since the Yacuna spread is 0.008 - 0.016 at the moment!)

Looks like someone is using a bot to trade coins  Shocked
The good news is we have a new high for the CLAM at 2.51

I guess they're not using the poloniex price over at coinmarketcap. Almost all the on-exchange CLAM/BTC trading happens at poloniex. I just checked cryptsy and the price there has been between 0.007 and 0.009 BTC/CLAM for the last week. So I don't know where coinmarketcap are getting their price.

I reported this as a bug over in the coinmarketcap thread.

when attempting to stake i get this error:

"Error: RPC server was not started, use server=1 to change this (code -18)"

what do i have to do to start staking?
Sorry for noob-question.
Brief help would be appreaciated. Thanks  Smiley

Since October 2013 apparently, it has been necessary to have 'server=0' in your bitcoin.conf in order for the walletpassphrase command to run. This change brought it into CLAM.

The fix it to put "server=1" in your clam.conf file. It's in the same folder as your CLAM wallet.dat. If you don't have one, you can make one with just that line in it.

How is coin weight calculated?

Each CLAM weighs 1 unit, unless it staked less than 510 blocks ago or was involved in a transaction less than 4 hours ago, in which case it weighs 0 units.

So an output of N CLAMs weighs either 0 or N units, depending on whether it's old enough yet or not. It's a binary thing. Other than that, age doesn't matter.

how long before an exchange goes through their old privatekeys and dumps a shit load? Wink

It happened at the beginning of January - a whole lot of LTC addresses were dug over the course of a day or two, causing the jump seen in this chart:

It's not known who it was, but the volume suggests it must have been a popular LTC service, probably an exchange.

The bigger jump around the 2nd week of December corresponds with the relaunch of Just-Dice and the subsequent jump in the price of CLAM.

No I dont escrow anymore.
How its work?

1 wallet.dat = 4.6 clam

Or

1 address = 4/6 clam

 Huh

I have 4 address with some bitcoin in May 12, 2014.If I import a wallet.dat with them address. How much will I get? 4.6 clam or 4.6*4 =18.4 clam

 Huh

Thanks!

4.6 CLAM per address/private key.

It seems to me that "etching" the name of a political party or group into the immutable block chain is very similar to displaying a sign of such in your front yard.

OK, good point. I'll stop going on about it now. Smiley

I made some more pushes, re. CLAMspeech. Added RPC call "setspeech" which sets the speech string to be used for all staking and transactions until it's called again. Set it to the empty string to go back to random speech. Made createrawtransaction act the same as everything else - it defaults to a random string unless setspeech has been called. Previously it defaulted to no speech.

In doing so, I noticed that the 140 character limit is soft - >140 speech characters makes a transaction "non-standard" which stops it from being relayed around the network, but if you stake the block yourself it will be accepted as valid by peers. Is that the intended behaviour? I can fill my blocks with very long "speech" for free, since I don't pay fees on the staking transaction. It would take a soft-fork to fix this.

Pardon for the delay.

After speaking to a few people concerning BitDice.me, it appears to be a legitimate service integrating CLAM.

Adding the service to the OP post now.

Thanks BitDice.me!
Welcome to the CLAM family!
Good luck Grin

The initial/default CLAMspeech list should exist in code at the official git repository.
We welcome proposed additions or changes.
OK, but I think you miss my point.

Didn't miss your point - just don't have a great answer for you.
I am no more a lawyer than you.

The supposition was that the block chain is a place in which words can be "etched", presumably forever.

In the United States (only one jurisdiction and example), it is not unusual during election time to see signs posted about reading "Democrat" or "Republican" (the two major parties in the U.S.).

I would expect a court of law in the U.S. would find it very difficult to uphold a law that prevented citizens from displaying such signs.

It seems to me that "etching" the name of a political party or group into the immutable block chain is very similar to displaying a sign of such in your front yard.

Does it in any way meet the standard of triggering the legal protection of being "expression", "association", "speech", etc.?
Even if it did in one given jurisdiction, would it in others?

No idea.
