Someone moved coins from my old Poloniex deposit address this morning https://clam.tokenview.com/en/tx/a102bbd396d21c7f73880c692fe96cd69898c2827870d7f39a67880e2cb3c69d

xAHwDW5n6Kup8x8a7ffRTkMxBpZxtHy1U2  was my Poloniex deposit address for a long time as I recall.

Nice volume on FreeBitcoins CLAMS exchange though today...  Roll Eyes

Xploited was talking about adding CLAM to something like this sorcery the other day.  I said FreeBitcoins could foot the bill for the transaction if needed.

I'm not at all sure how any of that shit works, but X is looking into it and will likely be doing it I believe.

My Ludicrously Naive Understanding is:

You need a full-blockchain QT for the two cryptos in question. And there's a sort of 'Intermediary.' The Intermediary is full-on trustless. You need to have, synched and open and blah blah, all three components: the two crypto QTs and the Intermediary. Then you place an order -- which is only valid while all three components are operating -- and wait. If someone chooses to fill your order, the Intermediary trustlessly handles the transfer of the two sums of cryptos, which 'jump across' from one wallet to the other.

Dexes are the future for serious players, but it'll be bloody years before they start treading on Xchange's toes. And my outfit will help as we can if Xploited chooses to set Clam up on a DEX.

I'm presently looking at AtomicDEX in respect of another crypto. Would you need the full-blockchain Clam QT to trade on AtomicDEX? On BlockDX, they have an 'intermediary' set-up that allows you to trade from a sort of 'Electrum' wallet -- but B'DX got no vollooom.

The clam price went up from 500 sat to 1100 sat in 10 days, that +120% should be the good news you are searching for, and this ride is getting over because there is a crazy wall on the 1500 sats prize of 100,000 clamcoins, I'm not sure if someone will buy that wall, but the one who does will have the 2.5% of the network and that's a huge amount. No one say it would be cheap but we are talking about the chance to get a huge piece of this cake.
Walls have different meanings and use by whales. Sell orders are set as big resistances that give buyers feel unsafe. Fortunately, when the market is on a right time to ride, big sell walls are set to force buyers buy up and break the walls.

Walls often appear in two sides, buy and sell and whales use them to control the market.

Support walls (buy walls) can broken and price will fall deeper but whales don't lose anything. They can buy back at price below the suppport wall price.

When will there be positive news here?

'This domain has much more "Authority" than a website like freeclams.com.  It's old + strong keywords.

FreeBitcoins.com is owned by Xploited (creator of CLAM) and myself primarily.'

I was joking to a friend that FreeBitcoins.com is so old they were giving away whole Bitcoins back then.

*Brute force will solve any Bitcoin problem*
Any plans to make your exchange bigger?

Absolutely,  we are working every day to make our exchange bigger and better.

I know that you built up the exchange, run the faucet for long time. After the delist from Poloniex, CLAM has years of struggles with exchange listing and trading volume. Any plans to make your exchange bigger?

I can not find an exchange to accumulate CLAM.

We actually have over 100,000 clams for sale on the FreeBitcoins book.

There was a massive order for 100,000 CLAMS set on the market today.

I've contacted Coinmarketcap and Coingeko multiple times... It needs community members, like yourself, contacting them and requesting them reference the correct price.

It sucks that people are seeing CLAM for $4 on Coinmarketcap, when the reality is FreeBitcoins has them for sale for 40 cents.

Worst comes to worse... I'll just start selling CLAMS OTC for coinmarketcap prices to noobs!  har har Cheesy

one phone call i make all clams disappear/reappear onto cmc! Wink lel

Just "memefy" it. If you could get 1% of the people pushing DOGE to the moon right now with their stimulus checks to buy CLAMS for the lolz, you'd get a gigantic pump.
And an old crypto coin currently in the doldrums might actually be attractive as it's cheap.
You guys do a good job on the technical side, along with Dooglus forever maintaining his gambling den. But you need to market it hard if you want it to go somewhere. Right now everybody is glued on DOGE, DeFi, Ethereum etc.
CLAMS could try to revive its niche as a casino chip.
I contacted CMC and Coingecko and never really got somewhere. They don't care about dying coins.

100,000 clams should give a nice staking profit, do you have them stacking? and is there a plan to share the staking profit with the users?

It would be nice if you can make a staking pool as a service, that way the users who are waiting to sell their clams could make money while it happens, and without the risk of losing them. I know right now users can depo to JD for stacking, but in the end, the users are covering the house bankroll, so, If a user wins some crazy bets, the stackers could lose a piece of his cake.

We do stake.  I don't have any plans of staking for sellers yet... it's been heavily talked about.

Perhaps in the future though!

I can def see the appeal... but I also understand where I'm coming from as well.

I am unable to develop any website or faucet but if someone can, why do they don't step in?

https://freebitcoins.com/xchange/market/Bitcoin-Clamcoin

We did.

Nice volume this past week too.

True, since clam get unlisted from poloniex the drop starts, as you say, there are no popular exchanges to trade clams, Yobit sucks hard, and the right place to buy them isn't that popular. We need a huge campaign to promote clams and to promote https://freebitcoins.com/, That's the right way to bring clams back to life.

As technology clam is much better than doge, there is no reason for it to be this low... For sure a whale will come and fix this prize soon.
Why Freebitcoins.com, not FreeClams.com?

I am unable to develop any website or faucet but if someone can, why do they don't step in?

CLAM need to have good exchange and some influencers to shill the project. I have never known why Elon Musk has big interest in Dogecoin. From the bottom, price can start a parabolic curve anytime. The challenge as you said is where to buy CLAM. If people can not buy CLAM, they will give up their interest in the coin. No buy, no sell, no price action, no hype.

Exchanges and trading volume. Not many people know that CLAM has another exchange (freebitcoins.com). If they search with Coinmarketcap or coingecko, they will only get link to Yobit exchange. Yobit has bad reputation. Coingecko lists Freiexchange.com but no volume.

Coinmarketcap: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/clams/markets/
Coingecko: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/clams#markets

Cryptocurrency can not rise and get hype without trading volume. I can not find an exchange to accumulate CLAM.

Bootstrap is not working with 1.4.17 QT. Please, check it.

I'm checking it now.

Can you confirm that your copy of the bootstrap.dat file has the correct sha256 checksum?

As the bootstrap.dat post says:

Quote
To verify that you have the right file its size is 3789137849 bytes and its sha256 hash is ec1c102a0a3c4b0f0f47ff25a28bb96d935d374bd4168e0600acae22b42b0e63.

The file should be called bootstrap.dat, and it should be in the same folder as your wallet.dat file.

Take a look at the end of the debug.log file in the same folder. You should see one line per block it imports. Look at it again a minute later. Is it importing blocks? See how many blocks per minute it's importing and you can figure out roughly how long it's going to take to get up to block 3551279 (which is the last block in the bootstrap.dat file for now).

Edit: I recreated the bootstrap.dat file from scratch up to block 3551279. The newly create bootstrap file is 3789137849 bytes long and has an sha256 hash of ec1c102a0a3c4b0f0f47ff25a28bb96d935d374bd4168e0600acae22b42b0e63, the same as in the bootstrap post.

I could try importing that into the CLAM client, but first I'd like to make sure:
  a) that you have the same file with the same hash, and
  b) whether it really didn't work for you, or if it's just being slow. check the end of your debug.log

Mine's been running with the previous bootstrap.dat since Friday night (so about 60+ hours) (EDIT: "previous" here means the prior april 2021 bootstrap, before you recreated it) and it got to 3 years and 21 weeks behind and seemed to stall when I realized that it now says "synchronizing with network" instead of "importing blocks". Inside user/appdata/roaming/clam it changed name to bootstrap.dat.old

I've downloaded the recreated bootstrap. I deleted the ".old" one and moved the new one into the roaming/clam file. It is the correct file (378913849 bytes, etc.). The client briefly said "importing" but after about 2-3 minutes, it too changed to "synchronizing with network" and has renamed the filed to ".old"

So... I'm not one to claim to have any idea what I'm doing, but it seems like something is "wrong"

https://freebitcoins.com/blog/1-dogecoin-is-now-worth-more-than-1-clamcoin/

Dogecoin value has absolutely surged this year causing some prices that on par with what we expected in 2014. Dogecoin will hit $1, but what is shocking to us is that Clamcoin is currently cheaper than Dogecoin!!!!

Dogecoin is currently worth more than our favorited Clamcoin. One DOGE currently trades for 1.10 CLAM.

There are currently 4,671,484 CLAM in circulation compared to 129,210,000,000 DOGE in circulation… This is easily the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in my investment history.

Either CLAM is extremely undervalued or DOGE is extremely overvalued or perhaps a bit of both!

Come trade some CLAM or DOGE with FreeBitcoins.com.
