I got my tokens Smiley ... at least I see them on https://xchain.io/.
Have followed the instructions, and everything went smoothly. I am really excited about NVO. This is such a great project!!!!

I am sorry for you guys (devs) that so many people didn't follow the instructions :/
Well, we have to wait till the majority of the folks are happy it seems...

For those who have problems, this is a good read:

Where will my tokens be sent?

Your tokens are sent to a Bitcoin Wallet Address that you control.  That address is:

1. If you sent BTC from a wallet you control, the tokens would have been sent there.
2. If you sent BTC from an exchange or some other place that you do not control, you need to contact the devs directly.  You didn't follow the instructions, and they have to manually address that.
3. If you sent AltCoins, you should have listed a personal BTC wallet address that you control in the nvo.io crowdfunding site, and they were sent there.
4. If you sent AltCoins without listing a BTC wallet address or listed a BTC exchange address, see #2.

How do I view my tokens?

Now that we've established WHERE your tokens went, there's a question of how to view them.  Two options.

1. If the BTC wallet is accessible on CounterParty, log in there and they should simply be visible as NVST.
2. If the BTC wallet is NOT on CounterParty, type in the public key (NOT Private Key) at: http://xchain.io and you will see a list of them there.

What can I do with my tokens?

Right now?  Not much. [...]

EDIT: It appears there is a very limited market established on the CounterParty wallet site, so you can buy and sell NVST there and convert to XCP, which have a more established market value.  However, the number of buy and sell orders are extremely limited, so it's not a liquid market now.  Thus, buyer and seller beware.

Again, THANK YOU developers for this great project.
Thank you for handling those hundrets of guys with issues so professionally.
I hope you can soon focus on the project itself again. This is really the exchange we are all waiting for Smiley

Obviously, i have never dealt with a jerk like you. You troll and insult people.
Keep it up. Guess they all really love you.
Like I said this is a forum. Guess everybody else is a moron to you because they are all asking dumb questions.

Unfortunately, you're wrong and he's right. NVSX will only be sent out when the exchange is ready and operational. Like it is written in the white paper, 50% of all fees will be proportionally distributed depending on how much NVST you hold. I understand that you're not happy with the way he said it, but you're wrong.

Folks,

I am new to this site and I am new to the subject of 'blockchain' etc. However, I am not new to life. This is a discussion, a place to ask questions and an opportunity for us who 'want to' or 'need to' know to 'meet with' and 'gain knowledge from' those who do know and want to share their knowledge. Please let's all stay civilised.

I for one do understand why I have invested and have read the applicable white papers but still do not yet understand the language and specifics of this subject. Nevertheless, I want to know and want to learn and am certain many others do too, which is why we have come to this forum. Without forums like this it becomes much more difficult for 'those in the know' to tutor 'those in the dark'. Surely it is beneficial for the community as a whole to enable and facilitate learning so that the community can grow.

Without a doubt, people often don't read, don't pay attention, don't concentrate, don't follow instructions, don't listen, don't act logically and don't do what 'we' think they should do. This is human nature. As evolved beings it does us no good to get mad at such people; as the Russian saying goes "everyone must stand on their own rake". Unfortunately for some, they do it to themselves repeatedly.

As a final note and for the record, the only stupid question is the question you don't ask.

Regards,
McBitty

well, to be honest, I never even insulted the guy (as can be seen in my replies) before he started to act all mighty, like he just HAS the truth even when he's completely wrong and doesn't understand what this project is about, yet he's here crying over how I troll and insult everyone around, while I'm just helping other people  Roll Eyes

Using wallet.counterwallet.io and nothing happened so far.

No balances. Nothing.

Invested about 0.1 bitcoin.

read thru last ~10 pages, look at the csv files, find your transaction, go to slack and contact them... posting here isn't gonna help you

Thanks, yes the team have been warned and his account deactivated. Beware of scam attempts.

Great thanks. I think people should all be wary and never click links that go to wallets or bank accounts in any messages anywhere.  Just take the extra 2 seconds and use your own bookmarked link or even type it out yourself if you know it.

and NVO is not even a ETH coin. a really bad try.

Yes and I suspect they are trying to capitalize on the fact that many of us invest in lot's of different ICOs and some may forget that point when they see the warning.

Hey all please be warned there are various Scams going around on SLACK involving MyEtherWallet.  One of the latest ones involves NVO.

Don't click any links of that sort (wallets, banking sites etc) as they will likely take you to a spoof site and steal your credentials.

Please spread the message.  If you are on Twitter I have tweeted it with a link to my blog post here:

Be prepared for bolder and bolder attempts at social engineering your credentials.

Folks,

I invested in the NVO ICO and gave my bitcoin wallet address associated with my Ledger Nano S because I have clear ownership of the private key for that wallet. I realise now that I can not see any tokens directly for this wallet using the Ledger software. For my Ether wallet on my Nano S I use myetherwallet.com, which works great. What can I do for the bitcoin wallet on my Nano S to be able to see the nvo tokens? Can anyone please help me with this?

I have emailed nvo support a couple of times but have not received any reply from them yet.

Thanks
McBitty.

Hi McBitty,

Did you found any solution?
I have the same exactly issue!!!

Please help Smiley

Hi kakoloukia,

So far I can say the following:
1. We might need to export the private key from ledger to some other wallet like jaxx.
2. We can enter our public address at the website xchain.io and see the balance of tokens that have been sent to us and are now associated with our bitcoin wallet. I have done this and it works. Put your public bitcoin address into the search box (the bitcoin address of your Nano S that you gave to nvo when you sent your funds) and it should show you how many tokens you have. As I said, it worked for me.
3. I found this simple app that someone has designed for the Ledger Nano S to enable us to receive and send tokens. I am new to this and not a programer and so I still have to understand properly how to use this app. The first link is to a "live' copy of the app and the second is for the discussion thread where I found it.

That is it so far; I hope this helps.

There was no info on the NVO-Homepage that you have to use this counterpartywallet.
There is no info when I type in my address @ http://xchain.io ? "No records found" and no Bitcoin @ my address??
I think many people have the same problem because of this bad information policy of NVO! No good start of this ICO!

actually there was enough information and it was mentioned several times that you've got to use counterwallet or an address to which you own private keys, not only that, it was mentioned tens of times in this thread and on slack
Yes, it was mentioned several times, but the most important mediums are emails and their homepage. A Million Dollar project should be able to actualize their homepage. If they have less time, iam sure thats the case, someone other could do this job for a little money or token.
Actualizing a homepage isn't much that difficult comparing with all the other tasks, the team still has before them.
Hundreds of postings in slack, here per pm, email and so on could be avoided, if the homepage would be the most important source of information.

Hello, for now we have a new website who is on track, it should be ready soon, we have nearly finished all the distribution, and we didn't wanted to recruit someone to do our job for security reasons.

@SEnergy

the issue was the investment was 7 mins after the ICO closed. I used my own Btc wallet with access to Private key. My transaction was on the list of "unsent tx" Btc Addy 1B27GM2S3DxTMxwZDEAhRxjCgaLxC1AiYb, Investment amount 0.138 btc and tx hash is ce0749750201a9a358f472c9683a4d21ede5406db2dabc20222e18062cfee267.

i have contacted Marto on slack via DM, Answer was "noted, it will be sent back to the *1B27GM2S3DxTMxwZDEAhRxjCgaLxC1AiYb*  address"

that was yesterday.

Bit pissed off tbh. I have neither my btc or NVO.Lauda told me no Btc refunds and marto answer isnt very clear on wether ill be getting nvo or my btc back. Starting to look very unprofessional this project considering the amount of capital raised.

looks like you got your tokens already Tongue
