Fantastic news that Crown are seeking Ledger integration  Cool

Will it be possible to run a masternode and secure Crown wallet with Ledger? Similar to how Ark have integrated Ledger with their wallet?

Small update.

ServiceNode (SN) development is underway, our second new developer is working hard to bring v1 of SN's to testnet.
v1 will be without NTP timekeeper servers at first, but will be implemented in v2 of SN's.

We would like the SN network to grow and stabilise before we add NTP as the first service.
So far SN's will require 1/20th of the collateral of a Masternode (10,000CRW) = 500CRW per SN and will be rewarded appropriately.

Follow SN development here

https://github.com/Crowndev/crowncoin/tree/servicenode

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Separately the team are quite sure we have the correct framework for the application platform to go ahead and start specifying work tasks.
Documentation will be made available in the coming days boasting the breakthrough we made.

More infomation coming soon.

this is really great news, do the service nodes also need a dedicated ip?  same as a throne?

Only few Crypto tokens have Apple itunes mobile wallets

CRW is one of them. It took us several months of discussion with the iTunes people, they have rejected the app, but then we did not give up and submit a complaint the the Apple review board, and finally they have accepted it  Smiley

The difference between hot throne and hot/cold node is what?
Hot Throne: All the coins are stored in a wallet stored on the throne disk? No second machine required for this setup?
Hot/Cold Node: The throne itself has an empty wallet. The 10.000 CRW  are stored on a second machine. Both need to run?
What the benefit of each setup? My plan was more to use only one machine for the setup. So this would be a hot throne?
I tried to follow all the discussions about setting thrones but I guess this will be much easier the moment you do it yourself.
For the git repository, I guess the fix will be merged to master branch at some point? Maybe I should just wait some days until things are cleared and rebuild from source.

I think a Hot/Cold Node is better because you don't need to keep the controlling wallet open, and also running a masternode needs a static IP address.

So if you get a cheap VPS you can have the node running 24/7 without risking your coins or needing to keep the PC with the controller wallet on all the time.  Also with a VPS the firewall/IP setup is easier than getting into NAT routing on your home network.

Have you tried this yet?

Thanks for all the comments. just curious and looking for real projects and this is on the list.

Blocknet is my number one for a node set up.

1. API / OP_Codes
2. Service / chronos nodes

There is a decent mention of Crown  in this Institutional Investor article.

Institutional Investor is a fairly grown up niche magazine read by about 100,000 people.

http://www.institutionalinvestor.com/article/3751923/banking-and-capital-markets-banking/a-hackers-guide-to-destroying-the-global-economy.html?ArticleId=3751923&single=true#.WcTIU8h94Rk

Big thanks to Urban_Idler for sharing his views on decentralization before the interview happened.  Inspiring stuff.
I like the subtle mention of Crown, good read and nice article. Inspiring stuff indeed, good job on the interview and thanks for sharing Dan.

This market cap of 22 M is nothing for a coin this developed already. I can see it reaching atleast 8-9 dollar a coin, without breaking a sweat.
Learn you do quick, my young padawan! Cheesy

LucD88 our Lead Atomic developer Artem together with Ivan Ilabra are working on the technical documentation papers, which we will be releasing on the way. Our original Crown papers only serve as a vision for the project. As I said technical papers are coming soon.  Wink
Fantastic, looking forward to reading them as well. Thank you!

CRW hashrate reached 1400 ph/s last night

15pct of BTC miners are mining Crown now

That's impressive.. Seems we're in the third spot of most network hashrate: https://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency?sort=hashrate&dir=desc

Basically, if there is not much crown offered to others, im guessing the price can go up really fast since most of it is not being sold. Supply/demand kind of story.

This just got a lot more intresting for me. if this really picks up who knows where it will end!
Something like that, yes. Incentivising people to 'lock' CRW in Trons creates scarcity on the market. This will intensify once Service Nodes are released in the coming weeks/months, allowing people to 'lock' CRW in much smaller amounts.

Crown is the third highest market cap masternode coin

and yes -- the papers are vague and dated at this point.  but the ideas and principles are genuine and haven't changed -- and the points in the knowledge are all still relevant.

...
Agreed. Once Crown Atomic has been released, are there any plans to rewrite the papers and making them less vague?

80% locked in nodes wow? so is this artificial price then?

if all the rewards start to sell?

30% inflation? 9 block per minute, so what will be the use of nodes after all blocks mined. just the fees for the Dapp?

I don't understand your question.  What do you mean is this artificial price?

Masternode rewards are continually sold on the market by some people...what makes you think that the hundreds of masternode operators are all holding?

Can you tell me where you get the 30% inflation figure from?

Sorry, would love to answer your questions but I don't really understand what you are asking.

15m tokens outstanding. 9 Crown are created every block.
Block time is one minute. 1440 minutes in a day multiplied by 9 = 12,960 per day. 4.7m per year.

4.7 / 15 = 31.3 %

Well, I am not sure inflation is the correct word, maybe its used in crypto, but this is actually a very positive thing at this point of the cycle of this token. It needs to be distributed to the people / users. I think this is also the current added value of BTC mergemining which helps Crown with the distribution to new and new adopters.

Although we currently have a high inflation rate this figure will drop over time. This is still a "new" coin in the eyes of most. But here are some other things going for us too.

We only have a 22M market cap
We have a higher % of coins locked into Masternode than any other.
We have almost 15% of the bitcoin network merged mining Crown.
And the number of Trons continues to increase...
