Hey guys I have released a new site with Crown merchandise. This is great opportunity to wear something that can spread the Crown idea and look good at the same time. If there's any specific requests that any of you have in mind don't be afraid to shoot me a message. The website is: cryptothreads.org  Wink

Awesome, will Crown be added as a payment option?

I'm doing what I can to get Crown as an option as soon as possible. Bitcoin will be available very soon though

The Crown team recently shared some of their latest design ideas with me to get some input, as their plans have some resemblence of Namecoin on a technical level.  The progress they are making with Crown Atomic looks really great from what I've seen.  This team is definitely capable to solve the technical difficulties involved in such a project, and definitely one of the most serious altcoin projects out there!  Comparing to other coins that don't have any technical innovation or expertise, Crown's market cap looks severly undervalued - but of course, the market doesn't always look at the technical fundamentals; there's much more pure speculation involved....

OFFICIAL ATOMIC UPDATE 15.09.2017
Wow amazing! ✨

Crown Atomic development

...

Thank you, great update as always. Things are looking more and more promising, keep up the fantastic work! Smiley

On another note, the community is still growing at a decent pace (nearly 400 people in Mattermost) which is a good thing. However, currently ~99% of the interactions and discussions between community/core members happen via Mattermost. While it's great to see a platform like Mattermost being very actively used by everyone involved, it's definitely not good for Crown's exposure here on Bitcointalk.

Bitcointalk activity
The past few weeks I received several messages - via Bitcointalk and crypto-groups in Slack - of people asking if "Crown was still a thing" as there's "barely any activity" in the ANN topic. So far I always pointed them to Mattermost, but it appears the low activity on Bitcointalk is a turn off to newcomers. Here's a direct quote of one of the people I spoke to: "low activity on bitcointalk portrays theres not much happening or people dont care". While I don't necessarily agree, as there are more factors that come into play (Mattermost activity, social media activity, market activity, etc.), it seemingly gives the wrong impression to people.

Even though there's work being done on marketing, I suppose this problem is something we (the community) could easily fix ourselves. Perhaps, sharing more of the work that's done by the community would be a good start in creating a livelier ANN topic. Allow me to kick off with a project I've been working on myself.

CrownCentral 2.0
Most of you probably never expected a new version of https://stats.crowncentral.net/ and https://monitor.crowncentral.net/ to come anytime soon due to my continuous inactivity, for which I apologize. Availability and time have been a forbidden luxury for a long time, but yes, this time it's really happening.. Tongue Nope, we'll not give an ETA on when CrownCentral 2.0 will be launched. However, we're in the final stages of development and things are looking good.

The new CrownCentral will feature a complete graphical revamp, a unification of both the stats and monitor pages, a page showing active/passed proposals and an option to make voting a bit more user-friendly. Once that's released, we'll be looking into the implementation of automated voting on proposals via your CrownCentral account.

That's all for now.

Peace! Smiley

I would love it if Crown got trezor integration

Also would the team consider hosting thrones for those unfortunates not able to master the intricacies of setting up and securing their own thrones? Sadly thats a copied idea from the Dash devs, and doesnt have to be for shares in a throne but just a full throne. Nevertheless its an applicable idea along the line of masternode.me and http://dashmasternode.org/splawiks-supershares-hosting-service/

Cheers.

there are actually companies out there that host masternodes, so that would not be a problem... See OP

I'd very much encourage you to look at the guides for Tron hosting - it's not as difficult as it seems and it's well worth spending the time/effort on it.

I would however be interested to know how difficult it would be to integrate 'leasing', like in Nxt and Waves, so that holders could loan their balances to Trons or Service nodes in the future, without losing control of the coins.

OFFICIAL ATOMIC UPDATE 15.09.2017

Crown Atomic development

After the addition of Artem Brazhnikov, a crytpography and software security professional to the Crown dev team several
weeks ago with full focus on Crown OP_CODES, the dev team agreed with Artem based on his dedicated work,
that he will take a Lead Crown Atomic / API developer position.

This move has resulted in a shift of the originally indicated release dates of the Atomic project. Artem has spotted several system architecture issues,
where improvements need to be made so the team has decided to run several research analysis on potential solutions shifting the release
of the OP_CODES and API architecture.

Key findings of Artem are available here: OP_code Research

The Crown Atomic Dev team has also put together use cases for Crown Atomic, they are available here: Use Cases

Technical documentation

While the code is being written, one of our key document guys, Ivan Labra (iLabra) with the support of Artem and Chaositec,
is in the process of drafting technical documentation related to OP_CODES architecture.
This document will be released to the public in the coming weeks.

Atomic Team Growth

As Artem recently became a full time Crown team member, there is an extensive amount of work needs to be done
to complete the overall Atomic architecture. The core team will continue to bring more developers onboard at every opportunity that allows.
The teams main focus is to deliver the OP_codes and API.

Chronos Nodes Expanded to Service Nodes

The development team has rebuilt the idea of Chronos Nodes, and will change the fundamentals completely.
We are renaming Chronos Nodes to Service Nodes to represent the changes. The idea behind Chornos was to provide infrastructure for the
3rd way of confirming transactions ‘Mining’ Service nodes will provide more than just timekeeping services, they will be designed to provide services
to many functions. The most notable change is the move away from PoS instead a new type of masternode will replace the old “ChronosNode”.

Atomic / API deadlines

The original specifications for Crown Atomic have changed substantially. OP code and API integration could take more than 3 months to implement.
We will be making regular updates to testnet whenever we can, we hope to have a regular beat of testing Opcode related stuff soon.
Much more professional, technical documentation is being worked on and will be released in the coming weeks.

OP code And API proposal

Funds will be used to pay for development of OP_codes and API http://op.crownlab.eu/projects/crown-atomic/wiki/op-codes-and-api-integration

More development on the horizon

1. Hardware wallet / ledger integration - another option we are analysing is Trezor, which might actually be more friendly
2. Omni plaftorm integration, which will enable to emit digital assets on Crown
3. Latin American marketing team of 3 professionals lead by a reputable Miami based banker Jerry Ruiz with the aim to grow and educate the Crown community in Latin America

All,

Our (twister, mattblack & higherbridge's) first proposal from a while ago to create YouTube content has officially ended with the latest series of videos.
However, there are still a lot of areas that can use clarification and coverage - be it "how to's" or "explained" videos. We would like to keep making videos on an ongoing basis.

We are looking into getting someone to do a voice over of the subs (maybe even redo the previous videos and add voice to them). Furthermore we are thinking about making a video that explains crown as a concept in a few minutes, with voice. And then push this via a paid campaign on YouTube and maybe Facebook/other channels. This does need some researching (who do we want to reach, what is our message, how do we formulate our message) etc.
So lots of ideas! To fund this, we put forward a proposal asking for 3k a month, until the meeting that comes after the one in Amsterdam.

The official proposal can be found here here.

Let us know what you think!
