It depends on how you understand the atomic swaps.The exchange itself gives you an ability to change tokens across different blockchains.
You can describe it as a master node with direct swaps between all connected blockchains.
OK, STeX is actually doing something similar, but these are not atomic swaps. Atomic Swap is exchange of one cryptocurrency for another (even on different blockchains) without the need for a trusted third party, so no crypto exchange is necessery. On STeX it will also be possible, but different technology will be used.
