these were from top of the side list of peeps on the channel - one with + and one @ in front of their nick

Ok, who were they? And at what time (utc)?

Yeah, I not gonna name names, just thought I should post here so others are aware.

A couple of days ago in #Dashpay IRC channel, someone opened private chat and offered me a "special deal":

If I send 1000 Dash to an address, they will encrypt those coins for me (whatever that means?), then send my encrypted coins back to me - along with an extra 70 coins bonus...

scam -0 fer sure - lol

And by coincidence, almost simultaneously, I was getting this same pitch in a 2nd private chat from a 2nd party...  What bothers me is that they were both rather "notable" community members...

I don't think there is any way to protect your id on IRC, so that means nothing.  Correct me if I'm wrong....?

Yes  for sure, I agree... thing is: these were from top of the side list of peeps on the channel - one with + and one @ in front of their nick

I thnk you can set a password on your nickname, although I don't know how secure it is.

Ask him to send the 70 first.

Ok, I had a little time on my hands.

Here's the transcript in English

That was such a great translation, do you think we could get permission to have it posted on an English news site?

comment on the distribution of DASH

Perfect then...in the next couple of months...all those coins will all have moved hands if they hadn't already... and we're all golden.  Wink

That happened long ago

Alright Alright... LOL...I have a soft spot sometimes....actually I have a few these days, to much fine dining and wine.  On a bright note...I'm looking at getting our local gym to accept Bitcoin and DASH. I'll keep peeps up to date.

I wonder if the NYSE "black squirrel event" is a cyber attack designed to mitigate the central bank naked gold shorts.
London closed. NY closed due to "black squirrel event". Gold still trading and on a bit of a tear.

And im dying to see a Exchange that will introduce Instantx to their deposits/withdrawals !!!!!!!!

They could definitely do it for deposits, but they should have most of their funds in cold storage, so I don't think instantX for withdrawals would be feasible. The biggest lag is usually the withdrawal being processed, not the confirmations.

Got some competition from Chinese Uber, but do they accept bitcoin ?
http://mashable.com/2015/07/08/china-uber-didi-kuaidi/

I think Chinese Uber will probably go for Dash.

There is a limited cryptocurrency superstructure in China, unlike the West where there is everything from payment channels to Coinbase type front doors for use with email and web clients. At the same time they need:

a) support for fast micropayments

b) a bitcoin compliant platform to support phone clients & meters etc

c) an enhanced level of fungibility over bitcoin to maximise their customer's sense of security when using the service

So I don't think there's much question of them adopting bitcoin or even litecoin over Dash. In fact I'd be surprised if discussions haven't already been commenced with Dash devteam & communications officers.
