Its always like this, after a big leg up a rebase and then once its over it all starts again... Not fun watching price fall every day but its good for long term stability.

Johhny Bravo sock puppet troll:

Masternodes are a reason to hold your money, because you are rewarded for providing a service to the network.

In other coins why hold? If the price reaches a certain point with most coins everyone with large bags dumps and high fives.. and the coins die.

What you are claiming to be a weakness is why dash keeps trying to test it's ATH, and why it keeps trucking. You are rewarded for providing a service to the network. And your money works for you.

For the 8,718th time, the reference node doesn't introduce trust to the network. By default, MN payments are random. The reference node changes this from a random to a round-robin distribution, and the selections that the reference node makes can be cryptographically verified as proper. Without the reference node, payments are random. With it, payments are predictable.

Looking at the .12.x branch on github, it looks like it's going away soon anyway.

Sigh. No Adam, I'm talking about concern trolling.

I'm not attacking Monero. Fluffy in the recent interview himself referred to it as a "science project" which is great and interesting and fantastic. It will take a while to reach mass adoption. It's a harder path. And that is a noble thing. I'm attacking rampant trolling to try and divert BTC towards [insert your coin name] is getting so goddamn boring. And I've yet to see it actually work.

We've had concern/fud/full/slow trolls for as long as the coin has existed and you all haven't achieved much.

Get back to your projects and do something constructive.

If you want your coin to be worth something be it btc, monero, dash, cache, ltc, doge, spread, crave, whatever fucking stop wasting your godamn time making up bullshit and find a use for it. Get crypto out of this cesspit and into people lives. Owe a friend some money? Pay them back in your coin of choice. See a vulnerabilty? Tell the coin dev and get a bounty. Come up with ideas, learn to code, design stuff, make websites, help market, whatever just DO STUFF.

Dash is trying to make ground quickly and sporks and reference nodes get us there faster. They are "for now" and are known to not be perfect. But they get us out into the real world faster.

I'm not FUDing either. The reference node being based on trust is not a little flaw, it's going against everything we should stand for. I consider this a fact.

The reference node will go in time. It's on the to do list.

But you are concern trolling.

It's like me going to your thread and saying: so your wallet takes years to synch so if you don't want to use the unsynchable nerdcore wallet you have to trust the web wallet....
Seems like a lot of websites one has to trust to actually just use monero..

Vote 4fryn :)
Is it true that this coin has some kind of software "switch" that someone switches off and on when he decides to..  Shocked Shocked

Yes. And it gets even better, you can DDoS the reference node to simply intercept the switching process. But in general I'm not worried about Dash, I read they have flowcharts and certified managers now... The only thing that worries me is that most followers of this thread have no idea what technically is going on. And that's probably the main reason why this coin still sells so good.

DDOSing the reference node doesn't hurt the network. Th only thing that happens is the MN payments go from regular to random. Nice try though.

Everything this coin makes unique is based on masternodes (IX, DS, ...). Enough masternodes are only running because people earn money with them. Intercept the enforcment for long enough and support abusive pools and you will see how far you will get with this centralized payment company. If you dont understand the risks of centralization you should stop posting on this thread and start reading some early documents of... well let's start with Satoshi? I'm not trolling here. It's a serious concern you should research.

This was getting a little boring...

For the newcomers, important information can be found here:

Yes, real work unlike some others not-to-be-named coins... you know who you are  Kiss

The reference node isn't trustless.
You've forked bitcoin and managed to reintroduce trust in the system in order to make this 2-layer thingy "working". Grats on that.

Are the troll post on fire sale today. Dash must be doing well we have trolls from Scammero Monero, from 'walking dead' Cache coin, and the list goes on...

Ah well being at the top of the food chain brings all kinds of insects I suppose. The good thing about insects is they survive only one season....

Dash on!

It just keeps MN payments regular...
So if you knock it down MN payments might be a little erratic for a while... but Dash would continue and yaknow the world wouldn't end.
