I don't know,From me is make it big or make nothing

Like ghost say,we are damn underground right now, transitionnal period is for establish mark,we are still new, we can hit easily big market no doubt on it

Again rebranding is the best news darkcoin could have, moving from this stupid(yes, again,Im rude I know) jiggling digling swing market full of troller and kids

Crypto move fast,if we take 6 month to apply change we can miss our boat if bitcoin goes too capitalized I think, its a possibility

After thinking about it for a while I do still believe a transition period is needed before moving completely away from logos and colors. Maybe after 6 months or something, depending on where we are, we can revise it.

About West Harrison's point, I don't think we have the budget to do "very diligent, deliberate and massive publicity so that everybody knows there is a change taking place. So we will need a transition period."  Also there won't be "constant brand changes". It is just 1 re branding process and it will take a while. But yeah, lets have some fun to warm up to the idea.

The vast majority of the planet who know what BTC is, has no clue what LTC is.
The totality of people who know what LTC is, knows DRK, and vice-versa.
See where I'm trying to get at?

We dont need a transition period. We currently going through it already!

I have to admit, I wasnt 100% convinced on the name, like others were saying...I thought it was ok but we could do better. But afte messing about last night, its started to grow on me. Done in PS for quickness (no vector goodness

Morse code of the left,

D -..
A .-
S ...
H ....

I had a few others, but this was prob my fav.

This is really really damn close to what I was imagining, thank you so much. I believe we should keep open minds and not chain our selves to the "D"... hehe ..

Also, number one on this list is relevant!

I really like the concept of Morse code too, just remember,  re-branding is a process. If and when we do proceed with a new name. In the short term we would have to go with the "D" logo and colors, if people go to coinmarketcap all of a sudden and see a different logo, colors and name, they will be mislead into thinking is something completely different.  We need to continue with the current "D" or a very close spin-off, for a prudent period of time. And then after 6 months or something when we are already known by our new name, we can think of changing more if it is necessary.

I don't know man, I've seen big companies rebrand and what they do is  completely do the changes and then do very diligent, deliberate and massive publicity so that everybody knows that there is a change taking place. It serves  a couple of purposes, one is you don't exhaust people with constant brand changes; two, you educate everybody about the change; three, you get NEW people interested because the publicity was orchestrated in such a way to appeal to new consumers and businesses.

Change is good +1 we can experiment at least Smiley

New screen about dash are very tasty Smiley

This is the point I dont understand about vertoe leaving....They left before anything was 100% set in stone?

If the original designer posts their address I'll pass the donation along... I feel a little cheeky accepting it when they put in the time to create the original :-)

well I guess I'll have to tip you both then.

 Suggested at DCT talk...

I was on snapcard ironing out and issue I had with them and thought I would ask them if they would consider adding dark since I like their merchant setup! I know I know I should have said Dark is Possibly rebranding but I figured I see what they thought they seemed very receptive

You raise good points, and I love the Morse code logo, but I love it with the full D.  I guess we have to think carefully about how to proceed. Thanks for replying I am not so sure now about what the best course of action would be. Hmmm I need to think about this part more.  We all need to keep an open mind to let ideas flow, thank you.
