Is there a purpose to being a Darkcoin Foundation Member, is the board the only decision making entity? Since they are not elected and seem to be in very firm control of the future of the coin I would very much like to understand how the structure works, as well as the decision making. In my opinion Evan is the daddy so what he says sorta just goes to a certain extent. But there are a lot of invested parties and I would love some clarification as to how the decision making process works. What is the role of a darkcoin (or dash) foundation member?

We’re absolutely open to everyone’s input and always have been. We would like this process to be 100% transparent as possible. In the community supports it, I would support hiring a firm to handle the rebranding for us. We could allow the firm to engage directly and transparently with the community, then have foundation members vote on the final decision.

Evan.

Awesome! So Foundation Members, not just the foundation board as I had mistaken?

One (possibly small) point, we are still seeing new articles that honestly believe we are still using the old-old darkcoin logo. If first we change name and then much later change logo, we will be seeing that "D" until the end of time. New brand, fresh start!
+1 Agreed, I had originally argued for retaining the D, but on further though...

I really like that D with the -

NO NO! It needs to read "Digital Cash at your fingertips"

Yeah, I had no idea about it being a detergent product or even a Kardashian brand. Shows how much I know.

Only the "way towards" digital cash?
Darkcoin is actually even better than cash. Cash has serial numbers.

On another note: I disliked "Dash" at first, but the morse logo with the inverted C came out really well. This could work.

The inverted C is pretty brilliant.

No acronyms guys, please, see how it is a natural tendency to try to assign meaning to it. It means nothing yet, if anything digital cash by association.  One day and after a lot of hard work, it will be: Do you know about DASH?  -Oh yeah that awesome payment platform.
