DASH.
I've tried. But, sorry, I'm not feeling it.
I've always (yeah, here he goes again) said the name was good for a while but needed to be changed for the future.
But DASH? Really?
Thought experiment:
In bar, looking cool. Checkout a tall blonde and slide across to have a chat.
'Hey, can I get you a drink, they take DASH here....let's get a bottle of Louis.'
"That'll be 100 DASH, sir."
See. Sorry, I'm just not feeling it, or her, cause she'll be off in a dash with that name.
I'm 100% with you, I don't mind a rebranding at all. If it doesn't in a rush with a terrible name and supporters of the new name shouting it everywhere like the decision is final already. You described exactly what I feel when imagining using "dash" in public. It feels bad, really bad. Even saying do you take darkcoin sounds really sweet even in a bar or anywhere else. Dash is not a marketable name and it doesn't follow a lot of marketing principles on what makes a name good. Visa, Nike, Nesquik, Apple, Oculus, Valve. All names that are catchy, short, have a punch to them. Dash is soft and weak.
