Could I just remind people that this is one of the immense powers of Darkcoin in terms of securing anonymisation of funds.
A principle known as "redundancy" and it's far more powerful than a fancy anon-algo.
The reason is that redundancy compensates many times over for any flaws or weaknesses in the particular anonymsation algorithm in use.
As an analogy, think of painting a room. What do painters do ? Do they put one thick coat on ? No - they always put many thin coats, because if you put one thick coat you get inconsistencies - in some areas it's very thick but there will also be tiny bits that get missed completely. This 'thick coats' approach is positively dangerous in an anonymous cryptocurrency because the tiny missed patches will correspond to individual transactions of individual people and that's unacceptable statistically.
With its pre-emptive, multiple rounds Darkcoin is achieving 2 things to a level far in excess of the alternative "realtime at the point of transaction" anonymisation:
[1] - a greater depth of privacy than any single algorithm could acheive
[2] - a greater level of consistency across all transactions than could otherwise be achieved
So when discussing this concept, I recommend the painting analogy - painters like Darkcoin !

Oh Dark will be fine. I've followed this coin for a long time, I've written about it and I never ever worry about its future because it's one of the obvious strong ones to survive whatever is coming. If you want to make money...shit, crypto is clearly not for money makers anymore.

I'm here because I have a masternode fetish. Seriously though, the fact that X11 was only CPU mineable at the beginning really motivated me to try out mining and then I was hooked. If you look through my post history you can see me begging people to take pokerstars USD transfers for some Darkcoin and I didn't find anyone in time so I started mining. My faith in darkcoin was unbelievable, in my mind it was just a matter of time before it exploded. Then I found out how to create/clone amazon instances and set up hundreds, making so much darkcoin I get nostalgic just thinking about it. At one point I was a big part of the network hashing power. Biggest in the Official Darkcoin pool by far for a few days. Fun times.
Yes...I knew I remember seeing that username on Darkpool back in the beginning and going "HOLY SHIT!!!!" That guy must have a warehouse full of Xeon servers somewhere rocking up the mining! Man...those were heady days...I was always near the bottom of that list

I might add that for TBs, price is incidental to value; for pure investors, price is the only value.
It is also sadly true that in developing markets, investors seek to drain all value other than price from the equation, which leads to the development of derivatives. Bitcoin will survive simply due to its Wall-street attachments. Investors will make money whether the price rises or falls due to the ability to sell short. But ultimately the only value, and what is traded is simply price.
