Could someone please give me a command to check multiple nodes using this command?  ./darkcoind masternode list | grep YOUR IP

Just a question:

Do masternodes and regular clients share the same code ? i.e. is there only one daemon and it either gets run in 'masternode mode' or 'regular mode' or are masternodes a separate application ?

More LTC dumps last night.

Heading for 5 now.

We must promote the fact that DRK is:

[1] - pure currency

[2] - Bitcoin commercial API compliant

[3] - fully anonymous

My remote masternodes have become "unstable" lately, they randomly stop syncing the blockchain for some unknown reason. Recently all of them stopped updating, at the same block number. I have had to restart them repeatedly and sometimes that doesn't seem to work so I create a new wallet.dat and delete peers.dat on the remote server and that seems to fix it, at least for a while. Anyone else seeing similar?

Your post prompted me to login to my VPS and check (which I do every so often but hadn't for a few days). My MN was stuck on block 199711 whereas the current block (at the same moment) was 200686. I've never had this happen before. I do often though experience the v0.10.17.24-gee8174a-beta wallet hanging at a block during a network catch-up when the wallet's not been running for a while (on Win 8.1). I sometimes have to restart it a couple of times before it successfully catches up to the current block. I've stopped darkcoind and restarted it on the VPS. It seems to have caught up okay now. Will monitor.

all of my mn's were also stuck at 199711

There's a known issue with 17.24 that was discovered yesterday that caused this problem on the network. We're in the process of building 17.26, however feel free to compile from source in the meantime

There has been an update for the Darkcoin Wallet for Android.  It will now sync faster for new users.

This wallet does not support any Darkcoin specific features such as DarkSend.

that the potential upside is much more important than any short term profit taking.

Let's keep this on mind!

Thats one very important thing to base crypto investments on.
Small time profit grabbing never adds up to missed hold opportunities....

Otoh that is nice piece of story.
Do you have the same for darkcoin? Smiley

I don't keep track in that much detail any more, but it's all public for those who watch what some of the larger addies are doing as I don't try to hide what I've bought & rarely sell, except for a small day trading account, I learnt from 2011 - 2013 BTC & 2013 LTC that the potential upside is much more important than any short term profit taking.
Oh yes.
I sold some only to have a free ride. I shouldn't. Later I was buying for $90.
But I still have my free ride  Cheesy

Today I just recovered about 500 BTC that I had on Stamp, touch wood as I've left them there still in USD for now, the last few days it hasn't been at all sure if I would ever see them again, so I may well do some celebratory DRK buying on it's anniversary  Tongue
From your post history I see that you were on Amir Taaki's Britcoin.
I bought first btc there. I just wish I bought a little bit more at that time

Yep, he and Britcoin were a bit of a disaster, though you couldn't knock the prices Wink

I bought first btc in Aug'11 because I was tired of mining from May with 6990 0,3btc per day  Grin (if I remember good)

Balance 598 BTC

Bought 17 Oct 2011 - Intersango

Balance 748 BTC

Bought 22 Oct 2011 - Intersango

253.93 @ $3.14

Total Balance 1,002 BTC

1,002 BTC @ $3.10 = $3,106

$3,106 + $25 cash (free profit from Bitcoinica) = $3,131

total invested so far £3,000 = $4,800

loss atm $1,669 ~ about 35%

need a price of $4.77 to break even

Bitcoinica - Margin trading

Lost 26 Nov - 1 Dec 2011

$566.68 shorting on Bitcoinica

Spent 9 Dec 2011

4 Btc spent on photoshopping of cat's tail gif (replaced 24 Jan 2012)

1 Btc gave away for the lulz by posting a MtGox Btc code live (replaced 2012 02 28)

Mt.Gox

15 Dec 2011

Replaced $566.68 lost gambling
Invested $50 = £32.50 additional funds

(Note: Balance held on Dwolla $93.07 not counted)

Summary 15 Dec 2011
872 + 300 + 300 = 1472 Btc  @ $3.166 = $4,659 + $17.50 + $33.50 = $4,710 balance
Invested $4,800 + $50 = $4,850 (not counting loss of $567 replaced) less 4 coins spent = $4838
So total loss atm = $128 or $695 if count gambling loss
Need a Btc price of $3.25 or $3.64 icgl to break even

15 Dec 2011

Invested £1,000 = $1,550 additional funds

Wish list
In Feb 2012 add $15,150 ish (bring total invested to $22,000)
& buy 4,750 Btc to bring total to about 6,300 or 0.03% of the 21 M total
that is if the price doesn't go up before then
then buy at least 3 Casascius 1,000 Btc gold coins (Ed & Eliz + Hanna)
5 would be better so 2 to sell in Europe conferences, TSR or Spink say

Bought 20 Dec 2011 - Intersango
378.78 @ $4.13

Summary 20 Dec 2011
872 + 678 + 300 = 1850 Btc @ $4.10 = $7,585 + $17.50 + $33.50 =$7,636 balance
Invested $6,400 (not counting loss of $567 replaced)
So total profit atm = $1,236 or $669 if count gambling loss
Break even price now $3.44 or $3.74 icgl

- Wish list didn't work out as planned unfortunately...

So the big question from the lessons learned is this:  When will DRK hit $1bn?
