The biggest issue we are having is the fact that DRK is a one-man team. I know the team is bigger than just Evan, but Evan is the only person that brings actual skills to the table (no offense to the other team members). He is really fast and he works really hard and he is a genius, but in the end, it is still just 1 person. If you look at some other projects, you will notice that not only they have tech improvements, but they also have nice websites (DRK's is really ugly and amateurish), good communications (could be better with DRK), beautiful wallets, good infographics and road maps, marketing, etc. The size of the team is the biggest threat this project is facing, Evan simply can't do it all. I'm hoping this will be dealt with as DRK gets more exposure and popularity.

I agree and am faithful that the right people will come together sooner or later.
Should DRK rise some more we could simply pay for a nicer website/campaign.
It's not so much the design or communications that bothers me, but rather the unique programming skills evan brings to the table.
It's where he most of all needs backup.
Not that he needs help, but what happens to the project if he - for some godforsaken reason - can't continue the development?

PS I am still trying to master C++, lol, might take a few years.  Tongue
Where is camosoul, I need to tell him how important C++ is!!!

I completely disagree with this. I think the reason DRK has maintained relevance is primarily because it's a small team... while many, many "contenders" have come and gone DRK is still plugging along focusing on delivering actual development milestones. The site is fine IMO, maybe on the generic side at worse..

I would dump all of my coins in a heartbeat if the team included people like the PR clown from XC or started to get too involved with the "same old coin devs" around here... I still think Evan is a bit of an "outsider" to these alt-coin cartels.. and it should strive to stay that way.

The one thing I agree with, I'd love to see a new approach to a wallet... everyone still follows the layout model of the old-fashioned QT and it would be nice to lead the way with an alternative interface that is way more user-friendly...

Totally agree

Georgem I sent you a tip for old times sake, because I still think about those Bitcoin Bums from time to time...

We are still in the good old times. They never stopped.

I must say, this project is really going great IMO.

Every milestone has been planned and negotiated with such a balanced degree of pioneering spirit and realistic pragmatism that it's difficult to look back and see how anything could have been done differently - even with the benefit of hindsight.

Despite that, there have been enough mistakes and challenges along the way for the progress to be real and not delusional.

Major congratulations to all involved for getting it so far in such a competitive and technically precarious sector.

What other team members you are talking about? Let's face it. There is only Evan and flare. And Fernando - but he is not a tech guy so does not count as a dev. Not sure what drklord, chaositec and internetape are still doing on that list https://www.darkcoin.io/about/team-contact/

Before the big boom. Smiley

I dont know I may keep it who knows if i get a good price ill keep it if not ill generate traffic slowly to it and make like 5-10 a day, up to 50 a day i think is possible. Seeing as I do this for micro niches all the time this one may not be as hard.

Keep up the good work Evan and the dark team, I was an early supporter and still am.

I hope SDC and DRK will both rise together

Yes, risk management 101 but since we are open source I think many great devs will be attracted to the project

freedom fighter types like the peter todd or amir taaki would be awesome i think.
