We are just seeing a big market consolidation, only the very strong will survive and DRK has come up pretty good if you ask me.

The scamming is not Crypto's fault, it's human nature.

You take a poor village in a remote part of the world, give them an internet connection and an unregulated money supply, they will do everything in their power to scam everyone they can.  They will rationalise it too by taking the "we are poor and they are rich" stance.

You also lose a lot of empathy and compassion behind a computer screen, so the average Joe that wouldn't dream of snatching a purse from an old lady, is quite happy be more adventurous online under the guise of "It's an Open Market".

So there is the state of modern crypto.

You've got your right wing traditionalists that wont even touch Crypto without compliance and regulation in place, you have your left wing libertarians that will resist any form of control points or regulation, the real solution we end up with in 10 years time will be somewhere in the middle.

That's what they always say.

When you allow one entity to place just one regulation, the president is set for that entity to regulate in the future.

The problem with crypto is not the scammers, it the foolish sheeple that jump all over the next pump and dump coin to make money.

I see it every day. A new fad coin comes out, people on the first page "I'm in" "To da moon" "next this" "next that".

How can a "scammer" resist?

I have not once been scammed, why? Because i'm not here for a quick pump and dump and X10 my money.

Regulation's are just the mafia's rules, fuck the mafia!

Whether this is just a really bad run we are having or the regulators themselves hiring shills to cause disruption, we need some regulation.

Who will regulate the regulators?  That's a large problem we are facing.

How do we regulate without destroying the essence of Crypto?  Is it even possible?

what do we need to create a clearinghouse / counterparty for DRK?

We can then point at a real asset, like gold, know it exists somewhere safe, yet the financial transaction around its ownership and transfer of ownership can remain anonymous?

Nicehash updated their wallet. Go figure. Greedy bastards. How low ethics these people have. Boo on them.

DaFuq?

I emailed them twice and I got the excuse that they had no control over what their clients do etc etc...

Yeah, as far as I know that's just if your MN got forked, it shouldn't be there, or should be changed.

Here's how to check if your OK. This is going by right now as in this minute.

Code:
./darkcoind getblockcount
As of right now that is 163675
Code:
./darkcoind getblockhash 163675
000000000003df09e2e0b253d7d4a1721bf2842100cc84a3828a4f493d31bc88

If it returns the above, you do not need to reindex the client.

Or check here: http://explorer.darkcoin.io/chain/Darkcoin

sorry
i do not understand this

but my MN's still seem on the wrong fork when i check the
https://drk.mn/masternodes.html

I'm trying to understand this. Is it (as someone's previously suggested) an April fool's joke in November?

Providing access to Facebook via Tor is like saying "New SSL release supports clear-text pass through" or "Best practise for anonymity is to publish a user's identity and their pseudonym" i.e. isn't the mere notion of a social media platform being used though Tor an oxymoron?

I think it's a simple fascist formula in place; you access that funny site via Tor, they now know who uses Tor and let the Overlords' minions know and voila!, yet another name added to the list of terrorists, enemies of the vaterland and so on...

you prob right. I also think the govs of usa/uk/europe need to create new crimes to fill up the privatised jails.

It is really serious.

When the fascists can openly spew their nonsense, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/defence/11206398/Britains-spy-chief-says-US-tech-firms-aid-terrorism.html just imagine what they privately think about a tool of freedom, which Darkcoin could be for all of us.

Fucking unbelievable what has become of the so-called West, a criminal syndicate-like pan-fascist monstrosity...

This was posted as there are a lot of new Masternode owners who may not know how to check their nodes status. As such, it would be better to just issue a blanket statement. It doesn't hurt to do it, I did it to my 5 nodes and they're humming along nicely! This will fix the network faster, as all potential bad nodes will be fixed sooner.

You may have had this problem.

My masternode stopped at block 163512 around 10 mins after enforcement.

If you have the same problem just stop your VPS and restart it.

Then go to putty and do

./darkcoind

./darkcoind getinfo

look for latest block with http://explorer.darkcoin.fr/chain/Darkcoin?count=20

Smiley

Edit: tao, are you able to edit your masternode guide?

Say's

./darkcoind masternode list / grep YOUR IP

Should be

./darkcoind masternode list | grep YOUR IP

Will do! Thanks for pointing that out!

EDIT: Done!

Enforcement caused forks yet again and it's been disabled. Anyone not on the correct fork just needs to restart the daemon with --reindex and it'll be fine. Can anyone who was stuck on a fork please email me the debug.log to [email protected]?

This may be a dumb question but : how do i know if my masternode was stuck on a fork?

darkcoind getinfo, check block height against official explorer. If radically different (usually way ahead) you're on the wrong fork.

then, to double check, "darkcoind getblockhash 163520"   (for example) ... should return 00000000000665aead3e96a3b065904b952d8913998c2d5281f913caabdbc231

ok thanks!

i have one which is like 300 blocks behind

can someone give me step by step commands so i can save the logfile to send to evan, and then the command to fix it?

linux noob here, sorry guys Sad

thanks already!

Debug log located:

/home/your-user/.darkcoin/debug.log

If you're not good with linux you can access your files on your linux server using WinSCP

thanks for you help guys!

was able to extract the debug.log file

will send it to evan now.

this linux noob is learning Smiley
