I am saying again and again. The whole bad behaviour (P&P, Scam and FUD) of crypto cummunities hurts
this markets a lot. There is no fresh money comming into these markets.
At least only money is shifting around into the declining market day by day and everybody that was been scammed
by pump and dups will not give any new Dollar to these markets.
Crypto destroys itself. My investment of around 5000€ i made 10 months ago would be completly lost
if i wouldn´t be very early in DRK. I hold my single masternode, more i do´t have over.
I know some people that lost around 5K € completly over the last months.
They will never come back to crypto markets.
Cloak is the best example of bad behaviour of crypto markets ( assholes like bobsurplus destroy all crypto markets )
I am pretty sure DRK is the last coin that has serious buyers, otherwise also DRK would have been done now.
Even if it has great things to offer, it doesn´t matter.
I expect hashrate will get higher and higher because there are a lot of very cheap powercost miners ( or power thieves )
that dump any coin they mine if there is a buyer.
Show me one coin that is still worth to mine than DRK - no one is over !!!
just my 2 duff
Drk has no more serious investors buying, only traders like me and that dude that dumped 3k with no regret. And someone has to pay the bills for miners, give profits to the whales that pumped the price above any moon that was expected. Shit, this coin was expensive even before the pump!!
And yes, you are right about the altcoin scene. But drk is no different, the whales that own this coin and get profits from market are not different that all the other. It's all about profits and profits come from dumping.
Some people will always cheer for drk becuase they got in before the big pump and they don't care- they hodl. But all new investors and traders should take into account that buying in a long downtrend to go is stupid and deserves to lose money.
So what your suggestion into crypto market. Wait until the next coin pump and jump it instead of hold coins of good projects.
If your answer is yes, then you will also end up with nothing because at one point of time also P&D game is over because money has all gone !!!
You can trade coins, a downtrend does not mean you cannot make profits. Holding lots of coin because they are 'good projects' is sentimental. You invest to make money or you invest to make you feel good that you support something worthy? Anyway bagholding thousands from the big pump until now must have felt like shit, it was a bad investment and turns out this charity towards good projects let you down.
You can try to find 'the next big thing and invest carefully making you an early adopter. If you are lucky you got in before they pump on bittrex. Shitcoins like BitcoinDark pumped so high... but I hate to baghold too much so this is not my thing. And it's never easy to get in early, the whales make sure to control most supply.
I hold to bitcoin, it's still a risky investment
Buying 'the next big thing' can get you burned
Don't forget thought, even though your primary interest is to make a profit at all costs, some of us cling to the quaint notion that we can make a change in the world. It is probably the main reason I initially took the plunge to invest in Bitcoin and the same reason I was convinced when I looked into Darkcoin.
One of the biggest obstacles to higher adoption levels of cryptocurrencies is that the general public don't even know they're being fleeced by the central banks and their associated governments around the world today, or they suspect it but they don't know how. Others say things like "Economics is not my thing" or think there is nothing that can be done so why go against the flow. Economic illiteracy is rife but willingness to blindly comply within a corrupt system is an even bigger problem.
The cryptocurrency scene is a reflection of the casino-like stock markets around the world today. Too many are in it just for the "money". HFT, for example, is a comlplete aberration of the antiquated notion of providing capital for promising projects by purchasing shares in a company. All the same, there are still people willing to provide capital to projects they believe in, and in some cases even if there may be more profitable ventures available. Of course, buying crypto coins is not exactly the same as buying shares. but there are similarities.
