How does it work?
xpool offers 3 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt and X11. Each algorithm runs on a shift. Currently there is no set interval as there needs to be enough found and confirmed blocks to make trading worthwhile on the exchanges. We don't want to finish a shift only to find out, the exchanges are going to eat up the payout in fees or limit the withdraw with a large minimum. The confirmed coins are traded throughout the duration of the shift automatically to maximize the profits from exchanging them into DRK. Once enough confirmed blocked are accumulated, the shift is moved into "Trading" status while all the exchanged coins are calculated into DRK and then queued for payment. Once all the coins are confirmed as successfully traded and exchanged, the DRK payments are sent.
As the pool picks up more hashing speed and sufficient DRK can be picked up from the exchanges, the shifts will be set to a schedule and payouts more frequent and less worry about the exchanges. This is a growing phase so the more hash support the better.
If a DRK block is found, there's no exchanging or loss of fees as it can simply be moved into the X11 payout queue.
The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your older ASIC equipment to earn you the more desired DarkCoin.

Aren't you the same guy that was posting this crap when DRK was .015? I bet there are a lot of people that wish they hadn't listened to people like you. The majority of advice regarding buying and selling in this thread is complete garbage. There are a few individuals that are more objective and not just hyping. You're not one of them.

On the other end, Darkcoin is falling continuously from recent days. Its last 24 hours have been equally disappointing. The DRK/BTC dropped 4.5% in the last 24 hours, while staying in it bearish mood. This is indeed due to the lack of any major announcement – the only thing Darkcoin charts are depending on lately. As its next hardfork in not until the end of July, it is believed that the pair will drop a few dollar more in the upcoming days, but will soon pickup upon reaching its lowest threshold.
At the present press time, Darkcoin’s value is $5.99.
I agree with this analysis.
Darkcoin costs few dollars so it will drop to 0$ it seems. Low quality articles on that site...

I mean if the reciever knoews it is you.. then your are not anon.. and he can tell the rest of the world.. So you can't trust him and therefor it is not trustless.. and because there's a lot of transactions everything is centralized in the blockchain and there goes the decentralization concept.. right, camo?

Right, DRK is not anon because the truly anon coin would not allow any info, neither for your account and transactions nor for any other - nothing would be known, even the name of the coin and its existence.

This.The blockchain is still transparent, but since it's a fog, only the sender and the receiver know what happened. Which is what makes it superior to obfuscated blockchain bloatcoins.
The transaction is obfuscated from 3rd parties, but the blockchain is not. Pretty....

LOL! So true. In the end, you must trust the seller of goods to send you the shit you just bought. Same problem as eBay. Fortunately, reputation systems can help with this problem. Double deposit escrow smart contracts help even more.
