From an oddity and online plaything a few short years ago to an over hundred billion dollar industry, the rise of cryptocurrency has been remarkable and swift. There have been plenty of bumps along the way while figuring out the best way to move forward, but they have all been surmounted over time. However, the most dangerous, and possibly fatal, bump is still on the road ahead, that of slowing our move forward. The biggest mistake that the community of cryptocurrency developers, users, and advocates can make right now is to lose momentum.

   Wow, this is excellent news.  Hopefully it moves right along and there is a DASH ATM out side of every dispensary.

The >1 month old roadmap/announcement of Evolution is not an "update" nor a concrete commitment to launch on a specific date.

Anyone paying attention has noticed Evan edits the roadmap to remove embarrassing failures to meet previously announced goals.  He's as bad as jl777.

Legit projects like Decred and ETC have roadmaps showing past goals being met and checked off.  Dash hides the fact it accomplishes very few of the things it plans.

Compare Dash's sloppy utter lack of accountability for and covering up of missed goals with https://www.decredible.com/news/roadmap/.  Notice how DCR actually keeps around past milestones and marks them as "done."

Now compare Dash's misleading, selectively edited cult propaganda with http://www.etcdevteam.com/roadmap.html.

This isn't even a fair comparison because ETC's entire presentation is so much more slick and modern.  The fact they complete every item on the agenda on time and under budget is just gravy on top.

If Dash possessed a modicum of integrity and honesty its roadmap would include past goals which have been abandoned, failed, or are running late and over budget (EG fixing slow/expensive/buggy PrivateSend, adding Masternode blinding, Lamassu ATM, and Shrem Debit).

Where may we find the latest Evolution code, including pull requests and commits?  Is it on github or is it just a rumor about Top Secret vaporware?

It's funny Dash hosts on github its roadmap, but not the actual code that supposedly will build out that roadmap.

So there's your "Evolution update."  Evolusham is just Dash's shitty version of CoPay.  As usual, it's merely rebranding and breaking other people's technology while adding scumbag marketing.

To their credit, CoPay put a direct github link right at the top of their page, where it belongs.

Thus we may observe all the latest Evolusham updates by visiting https://github.com/bitpay/copay (which is where the devs Dash intends to copy publish new code). 

Chart definitely indicates relative weakness ahead.. but in the long term, cannot tell.

I foresee some excitement and a strong rise to coincide with the Alt36 launch event next month, if not sooner.  I still think $500 is in the bag and $1000 more than possible before the end of this year 

In all honesty the news wasn't very big news. I thought evolution was coming in Q1 of 2018 but on the conference they postponed it to summer. And being added to things like cex isn't that world shocking news either. I think Dash will really moon when evolution is here.

Icebreaker is the biggest loser I have yet seen on bitcointalk. I could never imagine anyone would beat profitgenerator to it, but as you see ... sometimes the universe can surprise you.

Looks like Dash update 12.2 is approaching its final phase on Testnet, which is the translation part :

A masternode requires 1,000 Dash collateral.  With Dash currently at $336 USD that would indeed cost you around $336,000.

This time last year it would have cost around $9,000 at $9 per Dash.  You snooze, you lose.

Dash Treasury Funds Over 30 Proposals Valued Over $2 Million for October

The Dash network is set to fund over 30 treasury proposals for October, totaling over $2 million in value.

The Dash treasury system sets aside 10% of new coins created to fund projects for the good of Dash as deemed by vote from the masternodes. In the past, this treasury has been used primarily to fund development. However, due to this year’s astronomical price increases, enough funds are available to fund much more. An impressive 30 different proposals from various groups and actors across the ecosystem have been approved for funding with one day left to finalize voting. At present, 96.17% of the available budget for October has been committed to funding proposals, totalling 6,397.35 Dash (valued at $2,108,117.84) out of a total available budget of 6,651.85 Dash ($2,191,984.09).
