How could value drop if there have been moar DRKs bought than sold?
And storms started, well a little one, its gown down... yo
This has been covered many times before, and it works more or less like that:
Big players use trading bots with small amounts driving the market up or down.
When they need to accumulate, they place sell walls and drive the price down using low volume 20-30% below ATH
This causes flash shake out and instantly buying large amounts from the sell order book, which has been pushed down.
When they pump up, they place buy walls, and drive the price up using low volume.
This causes panic buying and when the buy order book is thick enough, they dump.
Now the difference between Darkcoin and other coins is, that due to the fundamental values, flash dump by pumpers never causes panic selling, price recovers and settles on the higher floor than before.
Rinse and repeat - win-win for everyone except the panic sellers who panic bought.
Exactly. You can just look at the Charts for DRK going all the way back. Same thing has been happening over and over, just keeps getting a bit more epic. It will be interesting to see what happens after the Masternodes start paying people running them as well. One more day?
In my opinion, that's 5-7% less daily coin supply - which is already very low at ~2800 Darkcoins.
Why? 10% the the blocks going into masternodes, means going into hands which are much more likely to keep the coins.
Most likely, one doesn't buy 1000 DRK for the masternode just to sell the profit, one does believes DRK has a long way up, and will keep the coins - more likely than miners. I assumed 5-7 out of ten are going to hold.
In any way, with the current volume, 2800 minted Darkcoins is a drop in a bucket. That's ~ 34.000 USD, 1% of the slow day volume and 0.5% of the regular day volume.
In other words, there will be even less people willing to sell.
