That is uncool. Please remove it if you don't mind.

It's straight from his Google+, where he has publicly posted about DRK.

Still, take it off please … privacy and all !

It's already public, so, uh...

She's damn cute, I'd forsake random bewbs too... ;-)

If Evan wants it removed, he'll say something. He DID make it public...

Great idea, I'm in. We should have a private beach party, fly in a couple of hundred hookers and have Evan DJ.

Evan should be the guest of honor not put to work!

Precisely. He's done so much, let the man relax with bewbz all over his face.

I'm not sure he'll be up for "bewbz", he appears to have a wife.

A, not cool posting pics of his wife, please remove.
B, regardless of where that pic is posted, this dude is doing great stuff for us all and we don't want to offend him or invade his privacy in any way.  He has shown great trust in us by making himself public, please don't abuse that trust by posting his pics all over the place.
C, it's likely that his wife has bewbz.

I've dropped information here and there in this thread that you could put together to figure out a good ballpark... But, I could buy a place in Beverly Hills, if I were inclined to surround myself with well-dressed douche bags... No thanks.

Go do some good with these new riches brother;  help someone who desperately needs it, who's life you can really change right now, perhaps save, while you still don't want the life of a well-dressed douche bag.  If you can't see any immediate good you could do, go visit your local sick children's hospital... you'll be blown away by what you see, by the chances you discover to help the most helpless.  And I'm not saying any of this to preach or whatever, but cause I've done something similar just last year; i made sure each of the kids on the Cancer ward at our hospital got whatever it was they most wanted/had asked Santa to bring em for Christmas.  It's not easy though man, it'll break your fucking heart... but in a good way.

A guy that builds decent rocket stoves on youtube needs some equipment. Plasma cutter, TIG welder, Air Compressor. I'm hooking him up so his SHTF goods can help others, and his business can grow.

As much as is needed to help people, especially children, with medical needs, medicine has become a huge scam. I can help a lot more people doing other things than throwing my money down a hole that some asshole "doctor" on a golf course that doesn't even care would blow on stupid hedonistic bullshit.

I could help 1 or 2 people 50%, or I could help thousands by 3%, add it up, which one does more good?

The best part? My original crypto investment was in BitCoin for about $120 roughly 4 years ago. All this money from only $120 when I didn't even have a roof over my head... Balls and Brains.

Gosh, I was gone for a few hours and come back to shock!  I thought we would plateau for a while, but nope, Darkcoin has other ideas!  This is why I'll never try selling again.  I'll lose it all if I do, LOL.

RE: Bitcoin's future.  I can see it going so main stream that there will be ways to recoup stolen coins, but at the cost of it's independence.  Meaning, they may work hand in hand with governments and legal systems, make colored coins, etc... I can see it being appealing to the masses that don't care about privacy, but would be happy with a bit of savings in charges vs. banks etc...  But for all such services, Bitcoin will probably have to charge a lot more (still not as much as banks).  Even then, I can't see how governments would be able to tax anything until it's traded for fiat currency.  There would be no way for them to tell anything about acquisition, etc...

In other words, I do see a different kind of use for Bitcoin, but it wouldn't be for someone like myself.  Also, I don't see why Bitcoin needs to always be worth more than Darkcoin.  I actually see the opposite happening where Darkcoin will be worth more than Bitcoin, but That's because I see more value in Darkcoin.

Does anyone think DRK can surpass bitcoin to be worth the most? I mean is 1000$ a coin unrealistic?
I think it can happen yes. Darkcoin is painfully exposing the limitations of other coins. People will realise that innovation > adoption. After Napster came Kazaa, then came AudioGalaxy, then some others, then came BitTorrent etc. We are the Kazaa of crypto. Bitcoin will be dead before you know it.

If bitcoin dies, we all die. VC money is flowing into Bitcoin, not darkcoin. Bitcoin doesn't need to have all the fancy features, it has the most developers, the most money flowing into it. It's the cryptocurrency gold reserve. So in a world where bitcoin is worth 10 000$ , Darkcoin can definitely be worth 1000$+.

FYI: Most Venture Capital firms have by-laws that forbid them from investing directly in Bitcoin, hence numerous Bitcoin startups are being pushed to market these days (probably too fast then they're ready for) so millions of dollars can be thrown their way which will allow these VC's to say 'they have a piece of the Bitcoin pie'.
Darkcoin right now obviously has no other startups behind it since it is still incredibly young (and is still the mastermind of one person).
Give it time, though, and the smart VC's will start throwing money at Darkcoin-related firms pushing Darkcoin-using products.

I've been meaning to say I like your username.  His book (Reminiscences of a Stock Operator) was the first investing book I ever read.  I've been enjoying your comments in the thread as well.  Thank you.

Question about backing up my wallet.  When I backup my wallet.dat file, is it just backing up the private keys? If so, do I need to back it up everytime my balance changes or will it be good for as long as I use that same address and keep coins in the wallet (regardless of amount).  I have been making a backup of the wallet.dat everytime I have a transaction with the wallet but think this might be redundant.

Not necessary to do it at all for incoming transactions, or on every outgoing transaction.

Your wallet has 100 private keys (and therefore 100 receiving addresses) in it to start (assuming that DRK does the same thing that Bitcoin does, which I'm pretty sure it does).  When you receive coins to any of your wallet addresses, nothing changes.  When you send coins from a wallet address, if that transaction does not exactly equal the amount of a previous incoming transaction, or the sum of previous incoming transactions (e.g. say you want to send 5.000 DRK, and you have an incoming transaction of 5.000 DRK, or two incoming transactions of 2.500 DRK) then it will use up a new private key to create a change address.  So say you have incoming transactions of 10.000 DRK, and you want to send 4.000 DRK, it will create a transaction with 4.000 DRK to the recipient and 6.000 DRK to the address belonging to the 2nd private key in your wallet.  It will also generate a new private key, so you now have 101 private keys in your wallet.  Each outgoing transaction which creates change will use up a key/address from the top of your wallet file, and add a new key/address to the end of your wallet file.

So technically you could get by with backing up your wallet only once every 100 outgoing transactions.  To be on the safe side, it's not a bad idea to go ahead and back it up every outgoing transaction, or 5 outgoing transactions, or 10 outgoing transactions.  Depends on how often you send DRK.

Thank you, that helps me understand it much better!
