wow that dump ...  Shocked

People are obviously worried that BTC is going to the moon without them.

meanwhile...
I am worrying that I don't get my BTC to mintpal to get some cheap DRK fast enough Tongue

After the nvidia speedups, we now have some work done in the AMD front for DRK / X11 hashpower...

MASTERNODE WITH COLD WALLET

Hey Guys, I have seen some people still have doubts with regards to the Local/Remote masternode setup.  I just want to reconfirm that my masternodes are running perfect under the latest release with the wallet cold. There is plenty of information on www.darkcointalk.org on how to do it.

I am not and advanced tech guy, I do OK, so to me having my masternode wallet cold is crucial for my peace of mind. I honestly dont see any reason to have your wallet on the server and be inputing your passphrase there if there is a better option.  Just my 2 cents.

DASH is the future of crypto payments!
It looks like the masternode count has been inflated due to a bug in the old protocol. My guess is we have less than 50 masternodes (currently I see 34 active). This also means it's suddenly very profitable to run a masternode again.

50x Masternodes = (576/50) blocks * 10% of the reward = 7.7DRK/day

7.7DRK * $6.64 = $51.13/DAY

Masternode cost = $6640, so that's 281% ROI per year.

Run a masternode or having trouble syncing the masternode list? Please update: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/update-to-0-9-4-4-or-0-10-8-4-to-prepare-for-the-hardfork-on-may-25.712/page-2#post-4304

Some way of confirming for sure that your masternode was kosher would be good.

edit, just updated to latest 10.8.5 (same download link everyone!) - looking very good indeed!

But we're not getting paid yet, are we?  If not, it's not going to be only 50 masternodes on May 25th!

The Buck Stops Here.

Mining.DarkcoinTalk.org is now rewarding miners with 25% more income for the next 100 blocks found by the pool.

Starting at 8PM EDT (New York) on May 20th 2014. Or May 21st 2014 1AM BST (London)

If a block is found worth 10 the reward for all of you mining will be 12.5 Darkcoin.

The reason we are doing this, is because DarkcoinTalk is involved for the long haul. We believe that Darkcoin will be just as important as Bitcoin. (maybe even more) The pool helps pay for the server costs of
the forums. We do need support to keep adding new features and to constantly improve this site as well as others under the same name.

We are hoping that after the reward, you will stay mining at our pool
and make it your primary. Mine with a pool that is giving back and helping Darkcoin, not a pool only made to make the operator money.

We encourage you to register immediately to set up your workers and get everything set up. Thank you for mining with us. We'll make this currency global and as well known as Bitcoin.

-DarkcoinTalk.org

TLDR; 25% more darkcoin by mining here

Adding the payment per day to the count graph is great! although it will be hard to see it go down as the count increases  Wink

Let's say you wanted to run multiple Masternodes using offline local wallets...

Setting up several Masternodes in the cloud should be easy enough, if quite time consuming.

For offline wallets, the best idea I have come up with is to have multiple memory sticks each with a bootable OS and it's own DRK wallet on it. Label them according to which node they correspond to.

Anyone else have a better idea or see a flaw(s) in this plan?

I just set up a file tree inside a hidden true crypt container with a strong pw and dumped all my local wallets into their respective folders within the container.  No need to get as carried away as separate operating systems on separate memory sticks I don't think.

Also make sure the wallet.dat files are encrypted with strong pw obviously.
