Not sure if anyone will read this but I'm interested to see what is the fastest x11 gpu miner these days ? I've seen numbers like 15 and 25mh from an r9 290/390 but I can't replicate them in any way. Most I could do is 9.1mh on r9 390 and 6.6mh on r9 280x with nicehash sgminer 5.4 on win7 x64 15.12/15.7.1/16.1.1 drivers (they all have the same speed). Tried wolf bins too but they couldn't go above 7mh on r9 390. If anyone knows what are the best miners for x11 now please reply. thanks!

AFAIK, hardware miners (ASIC) are now mainstream for X11, so i'm not sure mining with GPU is profitable anymore.

Where did you see 15 and 25 mh?

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14246493 This guy says 15-25, tried his settings but no improvement.

I used to GPU mine a lot back in the day. Even mined 10 BTC with GPUs. Then Scrypt which was nice for a quite a while. Then ScryptN and some machines on X11 where full power was an issue. Around 9 months ago with a bunch of maintenance stacking up and profitability... well... not existent. I got a little burned out. So I shut it all down. I have contemplated selling my 7970s and 5970s (I found 5970s to perform equal to 7970s during Scrypt days so I got quite adept at hoovering up a bunch of them and tweaking them out) for a while but I think I'm ready to crank them up again. I tried your Tahiti binary files wolf0 and am fairly certain that I followed everything correctly. I get about 3.3Mh/s per 7970 during normal operation. When I then copy over the wolf0 bin everything loads to the point of looking for work but then the program crashes and the terminal closes suddenly. The only thing I haven't tried is upgrading the AMD drivers (I'm still running 13.x). Could that be the problem? As per usual I have a built in resistance to upgrading Catalyst when I have an otherwise functional system that has run perfectly for years now Smiley

Anyone who can help me out with this... the 7970s is what I'm most concerned with.

could you capture the error message that displays? this might help to come with a solution.

I do not think Wolf0 has a bin for 5970.

is this still the fastest public miner for AMD? Is there a newer one somewhere?

Got it to ~6,6mh/s
I'll stick with girino's miner (2% fee included) - it's the only one it works, all other versions crash  Undecided
@girino - can you explain how this fee works? For ~30 minutes a day switches to your pool?

Avery 100 minutes it mines 2 minutes for me.

can someone share their hash speed with AMD hd7850?

AFAIK wolf0 binaries do not work on 7850, so the speed on those is still the same.

Oh I see, thanks for the info..but still - what speed is possible with hd7850 on x11 algo?
I'm getting 2,05 mh/s

There is a Pitcairn bin.

So, if you build from source or use the windows binary you should be getting the performance improvements. I never took the time to update the linux binaries.

How fast should it be, wolf0?

Same speed.

I got it to 2,8mh/s with wolf0's .bin
thanks wolf0 Smiley

Damn!
I'm shocked what I see here. I've been out of GPU mining lately, but getting 6mh/s + with 280x got me thinking.
I was getting 3,15 mh/s max Sad

can someone pls help me how to get started (again)?

I see there should be .bin file replaced? do I have to rename .bin in some specific name or...?

this miner is a compiled version that already includes the bins. You need just run it on a compatible machine. If you want to build it from source, download the source from the same place where binaries are available (see OP). The generated executable will include the bin. No need to rename it, replace it or anything.

Please be aware of this warning from the OP:

WARNING: This is not a free (as in beer) version. This version of the miner mines 2% of the time as a donation fee to the developer.

2% is nothing comparing to 50% speed increase Smiley now I'm on 6,15mh/s (before 3,15).

actually a 95% increase, sounds better (not to nitpick)

whoops Smiley got that right mate
