Evan,
Darksend is a much bigger feature than what it seems to be in the windows wallet (just a checkbox in 'send' tab currently).

Instead of having this checkbox inside the 'Send' tab, I propose the following:
1) remove checkbox
2) add a 'DarkSend' tab between the 'Send' and 'Receive' tabs*
3) this new tab looks and functions exactly the same as the send tab but it uses darksend technology when submitting.

This will be much better UX to differentiate this technology from standard technology.

* You can also consider putting darksend tab before the send tab.

That's a good idea.
You can also add some information text inside the darksend tab to explain how darksend works or how it differs from normal send

Instead of having this checkbox inside the 'Send' tab, I propose the following:

Awesome work! Once again very impressed! DarkSend is looking a lot less clunky now! Really is coming together!

I see Beta V6 has support for the master nodes, and you've added some instructions for setting it up.  But I see it still needs to be forked and instructions added for the payments for it.  When would you recommend we start setting up the master nodes? Now? Or shall we wait?

I have my own server, but I'm planning on getting a separate DDOS protected server just for the master node.

Cheers! This is a good news day for DRK! Just what the doctor ordered, well done!

Edit: Just read 3-4 weeks, after fork.  Sounds good.  I'll prob set up a masternode in a week or so Smiley

Can we please stop replying to that complete waste of time? This white knight for all the "scammed and miserable" ...

All it does is fuels his desire to be centre of the attention.

Does he do it often?  LOL, then I'm wrong and he's an idiot, what can I say?  I always hope for the best, especially if I lost my temper, 'cause then I feel so bad........

I'm 17 soon i am not a kid.

Also it's going to be a petition not a vote.

I will simply put an honest account of darkcoins history. A solution to compensate people cut out from mining.  And make a petition. If a lot of people sign. Then though sheer TRUTH SPREADING alone a lot of pressure can be applied.

Anyway i need to finish my game now.

The last of us - such a great game has anyone played it?

the "instamine" your so fond of refering to, well, i have given away so many coins, that im down to 2 % of what i have mined, and i dont have any regrets, i did it to get people interrested in this coin, for promotion, so, why do you still think it was unfair? i can tell you im not the only one who has given away lots of coins, there are plenty more, and i can also tell you, that people who came in later, actually have more coins than me.... the windows wallet was actually released quite quickly, where there was plenty of opertunities for people who wanted to get in and mine coins in the beginning...

Works fine now.

Will a DarkSend node use up a lot of keypairs during it's operation?
Will it use the pre-generated keypais in the wallet.dat or generate fresh addresses on the fly?
What is the approximate magnitude for an optimal keypool size for the wallet.dat if you don't want to back it up very often (if you don't want to make backups while still running the daemon)?

99% of the current holders haven't been anywhere near the first days, so all these people are trying to do is to rob us.

I didn't find DarkCoin before mid-March and didn't start actively mining or buying it before early April (tried to do so in late-March but I got driver issues and the price jumped up right then...).

There were way too many coin launches between December and February and I didn't have the whole day (every day) to really check them all out.
I wish I found this coin earlier and spend less time by hesitating if it's really as good as it seems for the first look.

But now I am here. I mine it since a few days and I bought ~800 DRK today, so I can reach the 1k mark until the official DarkSend launch.

Does this make me a robber?

I think you got me wrong. Apologies if that post isn't clear.

What I'm saying is, that those few who over the last few days posted ideas of increasing supply to 80 or 160mln or some free airdrops are trying to do just that.
How? By diluting coins without a valid reason for it, just to get a free coins.

Now think about it, doesn't matter how much you've invested - in both ridiculous cases which these people proposed, you're loosing part of your investment as the shares got diluted.
That doesn't make any investor happy, confident or wanting to buy more.

With the current distribution model however, and all the other qualities of Darkcoin, it is an almost bulletproof coin.
That makes me want to invest more - as I know the likelihood of my investment loosing value is small, and potential gains far outweigh risks.

Is there an estimated date on DarkSend being out of beta and a "finished" product?

So here's the plan for development:

1.) Beta V4, V5...  - Large changes that require everyone to upgrade to use DarkSend
2.) Beyond this point, DarkSend is ready for real use and will be available in binary form (closed source still)
3.) Release Candidates - RC1, RC2, etc - I'll be taking bug reports, but these are smaller changes and none of them should require everyone to update
4.) First stable release - I think this stage should also be closed source until we're sure everything is perfect
5.) Public audits, where the closed source is shared with someone who people trust to review DarkSend (I'm not sure who that would be yet)
6.) After all audits pass and we have a real product, opensource

Currently we're in Beta V3, I'm working on V4 right now. I'm fighting some bugs then I'll do another release

Actually V4 was skipped I think, so read V5, V6 where it says V4, V5.

800 DRK at today's prices? That was a steal. So, technically, yes....you did rob someone.

Not until/if I sell them. Otherwise, yes, I could already sell them with a little profit right now. Cheesy
